These shackles do not say alloy but I wouldn't know the difference. The only thing I can say is that everything at bethlehem steel was heavy duty so I assume these are top of the line shackles. 2nd disclosure. I have sold 12 of these shackles so far. Since they all look to be in the same condition I am using the same picture. The shackles in this auction all clearly say crosby on them. I have roughly 9 of the 2ton crosbys left. When I have sold them I will remove the word crosby from the listing. I have 17 other 2ton shackles that say campbell or chicago. They all seem very heavy to me.
