This is a Merril Single Drum Lifter No. 52. It can lift steel drums with or without heads removed. The drums can be lifted from either horizontal or vertical postions and then reversed. It snaps onto drum and is held there by its spring-loaded cam even when there is no load. This not recommended for lifting steel sheets or plates. This is used. But is in excellent working order.
