Currently there are many different colors in the Wyandotte breed however. The blue laced red is not a recognized in the show ring just yet. This color pattern has become very popular and seems to be a favorite for hundreds of poultry fanciers. The Wyandotte chicken is described as the“bird of curves”with a full breast and broad back. Hens weigh in at about 6 ½ pounds, and roosters weigh around 8 ½ pounds. The breed is named after the Wyandotte American Indian tribe of the Iroquois Nation. Our flock is not hatchery stock. We have purchased our breeding stock from some ofthe top breeding lines across the nation. All of our chickens are feed locally grown grains that have not been chemically processed.
