All the chickens were hatched from very dark chocolate brown eggs similar to the ones you see on the photos. From these eggs. You will hatch a mixture of mainly copper black and blue chicks, with the odd splash chick. The pullets/hens will all lay eggs of similar colour to their parents. The cockerels are truly stunning with the copper red feathers contrasting against the black or blue feathers. The copper black feathers usually have a glossy shine to them. The welfare of our chickens is of upmost importance to us and we look after them with great care. They are fed quality feed. Supplemented with mixed corn, veg, greens and fruits. They are kept in a very large pen with freedom to roam, run and display typical chicken behaviours like scratching and dust-bathing. We also supplement their drinking water with multi-vitamins, garlic and apple cider vinegar. We believe all these help to increase the eggs’ fertility and hatchability.
