Look closely at the photos and you will see that it has no dents and isn't beaten up. It is made of heavy duty commercial grade aluminum. I can't make out the number on it. So that is why I said it may be 20-24 quarts capacity. It is 11 1/2 inches tall by 13 inches wide.I used this in my restaurant, so I know this pot is over 35 tears old. This is a great pot for making stock. Soups, sauces, chili, anything really. it is a 20 qt pot. I am not sure if it is stainless or aluminum actually, so if you know a way to tell for sure, do let me know and i will check! It has been used a couple times here at home, but it is just to big for our personal use and we dont have our restaurant anymore so it is not needed. Vintage 1955 Aluminum Stock Pot 20 Quart - L & G MFG CO CRUSADER with Lid - USA
This Vintage Aluminum Stock Pot is in excellent condition. Clean and flat, with scuffs and wear from age and use, It has steel handles with tight rivets and a good lid. It is very heavy aluminum, commercial grade, and holds about 20 quarts at 100% full. It is marked L& G MFG CO- CRUSADER. Made in the USA. Please look at the photos and email with any questions. Two French immigrants. Charles Lalance and Florian Grosjean formed the L&G Manufacturing Company, and started producing porcelain enamel covered iron cookware between 1863 and 1870- one of the first companies in the United States to do so. Before long. Lalance and Grosjean opened their doors in Woodhaven New York, located in south west Queens. The two helped to turn a farm community into a manufacturing town employing over 2,100 people on an eleven acre lot. The company manufactured ... morevarious products, and was well known for improving the process of tin stamping. L&G Manufacturing also made mess kits for the Spanish-American War. Grosjean managed the factory and had several company houses built to accommodate French workers who immigrated to work in his company. Houses were built in all of the communities hosting an L& G factory- Chicago. Boston, and Harrisburg. In terms of porcelain license plates. The company is known to have received just one state contract- to produce plates for New York in 1912. L& G Manufacturing would later became the world's leader in tin stamping. Holding that title for almost a century. After World War II sales began to drop and the factory closed in 1955.

Up for sale is a Westar ProWare Heavy Duty Aluminum 20QT Stock Pot With Lid. This item is in good condition. But please keep in mind that this is from a restaurant and shows signs of use. There are various dings and scratches all over, nothing major, no dents. The top looks like it may have been bent at the edge and straightened at one point. Also, the outer edge of the cover and upper rim of the pot itself both have a number of small dings. The exterior bottom shows the typical scratches, heat marks and baked on grime that a used pot develops over time while being used on a burner. This item is'as found' and could use a proper cleaning. The inside bottom has some scratches and minor discoloration, perhaps from cleaning with abrasives or chemicals. No pits. Nice item.
