At auction is the classic heavy duty stainless steel Vollrath 60 qrt. stock pot with well fitting matching lid. The item is in very good. Clean, used condition with no rust and minimal scuffing to the aluminum clad bottom. Welded handles are secure and solid. There are two minor dimples at the bottom crease; I've captured the most pronounced in the included picture. No outer dents are apparent, so perhaps these dimples were caused by temperature change- I'm not sure. I do consider them minor though, and believe this kettle will provide years of further service. This Vintage Aluminum Stock Pot is in excellent condition. Clean and flat, with scuffs and wear from age and use, It has steel handles with tight rivets and a good lid. It is very heavy aluminum, commercial grade, and holds about 20 quarts at 100% full. It is marked L& G MFG CO- CRUSADER. Made in the USA. Please look at the photos and email with any questions. Charles Lalance and Florian Grosjean formed the L&G Manufacturing Company, and started producing porcelain enamel covered iron cookware between 1863 and 1870- one of the first companies in the United States to do so. Before long. Lalance and Grosjean opened their doors in Woodhaven New York, located in south west Queens. The two helped to turn a farm community into a manufacturing town employing over 2,100 people on an eleven acre lot. There are various dings and scratches all over, nothing major, no dents. The top looks like it may have been bent at the edge and straightened at one point. Also, the outer edge of the cover and upper rim of the pot itself both have a number of small dings.
