Vintage? 7580B Hewlett Packard HP Wide Format Pen Plotter Blueprint etc. Maker
HP 7580b plotter that I was trying to turn into a vinyl cutter a while back. I couldn't figure out how to get the software to run it. So I bought an actual cutter. The plotter still works. Or at least did, I did a confidence test with it a few times and all was fine, except the pens are about out of ink(maybe all the way out of ink by now) Someone wrote that you can refill them using India ink, but I'm not sure if that is only black. Also. One of the caster wheels is missing, so it sits a little uneven unless propped up under that foot(you could maybe replace the wheels for a couple $) I have a replacement, but it is a bit smaller than the originals. I bought a special cable(I think because of the age of this machine. You need a special cable to connect it to modern PCs) for it that you can have if I still have it. There's a cable ... moreconnected to it now, but not sure if that was the stock cable or the'special' one I bought. Xerox 510 Wide Format Plotter and Color Scanner. Have had since new. Always serviced by Xerox. Good usable condition. 1.372,157 sq ft, 519,276 LF and climbing do to daily use. Reason for sale, new OCE' coming. Every now and then makes a knocking noise. Xerox couldn't find a problem. Been like that for close to a year and have printed hundreds of plots since with out issue. Some times plot is a little light along border of a 30 x 42. See clouded area in last drawing. We are a construction firm and most of our plots(85% are used in house so the light boarder every now and then didn't really affect our use. Xerox said we could always rotate the plot if the lightness became an issue. Wide format scanner has the color key so color prints can be scanned. The scanner also has the stand and paper catch.
