We purchased this printer used about 5 years ago. And it came in a box with some shipping damage that we pictured. The casing cracked/chipped in a couple places. The printing functions work well, black and white and all colors print properly and clearly. The partially used ink cartridges and partially used roll of paper are included. There is a problem with the paper feed. After a print job, the paper is sliced off, and then the fresh paper often pops out of the rollers, so that someone has to feed it back in manually to get ready for the next print job. This'nursing' is time consuming so our office purchased a new printer. For occasional large format printing this printer may be acceptable as long as someone is ok babysitting the paper feed, but it is time consuming for a multi-user environment or someone that does not want to tinker ... morewith paper feeding. Vintage Atari 1020 Printer/Plotter with Power Supply Details: This was my original printer from the 80's. It functioned up until the day I replaced it with a dot matrix printer. Still turns on. Still lights up and it cycles through its power up routine. No idea if it can still communicate to the computer though. Four color pens are in the carriage but they're dry and need to be replaced. Carriage has a hard time moving all the way right and pen holder is having problems rotating. Device will need to be opened up. Cleaned and oiled to return to proper functionality. It is missing it's wire catches along the frame and is parallel interface only; no USB. There are cartridges installed but I believe they are mostly empty save the black which reads as full. The cartridges and ink nozzles/ print heads condition is not known nor is the total page count. We tried using a different roll of paper than that specified and could not get it to print anything. There is a network card installed but it is not tested either. Please note that the take up reel is missing. The left take up reel holder is cracked and the right hard take up reel is cracked where on of the screws attaches to the printer. The window on the top cover is cracked but still intact. Also the front right wheel has a flat spot. Therefore we are selling the item without a guarantee for Parts/Repair. Please bid accordingly!
