This is a box of UHMW scrap pieces left from my dad's packaging machinery business. This is NOT virgin material. The weight of the material is over 13 pounds. There is a white ruler in the photo on the upper left side to give an idea of the size of the pieces. Info: UHMW polyethylene is an outstanding choice in material when you need a relatively low cost abrasion. Impact, and chemical resistant material. UHMW is used in extreme wear situations such as hopper liners, conveyer systems, marine fender pads, and sand and gravel movement. UHMW is not UV stabilized and will have a shortened life if used outdoors. For outdoor situations, use IPX UHMW as an alternative.
