1/2" thick solid phenolic with cherry wood grain colored Formica material on both sides. The buy it now price is for one sheet. Note: On these particular sheets the wood grain is running in the short direction. It runs in the opposite direction of what you see in the pictures. About this material: Solid phenolic is a composite material made by applying heat and pressure to layers of kraft paper saturated with phenolic resin. The heat and pressure causes a chemical reaction that transforms the materials into a high-density thermosetting industrial plastic. The material is very dense with a phenolic core and colored formica surface on both sides. Physical Properties- Very low moisture absorption- Stable under changes in humidity and temperature changes. Scratch and cut resistant. Low friction Formica like surface on both sides- High density- ... moreResistant to marking or graffiti Cutting. Machining, and Fastening- Can be cut with woodworking tools using standard carbide tooth saw blades. Machines very well with router cutters leaving a smooth finish with not tear out or chipping. Spiral carbide router bits work best. Can be drilled and tapped with standard tooling. Can be glued with standard two part epoxy. Can use regular woodworking screws in pre drilled holes.
