They silkscreened translucent enamel colors one at a time, drying them, as many as 16 times, then kiln-firing to 1100 degrees to permanently fuse them to the glass. Antique Tabletop Wood Coffee Grinder Dovetail Joints Dated 1893 Black Iron Trim
This item is an antique tabletop coffee grinder. And is in fantastic condition even if it is 119 years old! The box is made using dovetail construction of the joints, which was used primarily from 1860s through the 1890s. The grinder handle and carrying or lifting handle on the back are iron painted black. The knob on the handle, I believe, is rosewood. All parts are present and it works. The one small issue is that there is one very tiny nail missing from the metal rim which the lid screws down onto. This measures 7.5" tall and 5.5" wide. This item is unique.on the backside of the door which closes to cover the'ground coffee' compartment, is writing by whoever owned this grinder in 1893. I've taken pictures of this, but the writing are of the words"December 1893" This is written again below the first line. ... moreThe third line says December 23, 1893. And, a fourth line says December 25, 1893. I'm assuming it may have been a Christmas gift? Why the same words are written several times, I don't know.but it gives this grinder some history and life. Charming De Grazia ceramic tile with a gi rl ri di ng a carousel horse. The back of the tile has a paper with some info about the artis t. It has an easel so it can be propped on a tabletop. But it also has a hanger for the wall. It's clean and in very good condition overall. But it does have a couple of mi nor flaws- t wo of the back corners have a very small chip(see 3rd pic) and the picture has some light scratches(the sort that you just see when the light hits is just right) Displays beautif ully! Antique plateau tabletop mirror , display mirror. footed
Nice tabletop plateau display mirror. Antique. Measures 10" wide and stands approx 1.5" tall, metal base holds a very thick mirror with beveled edge. Mirror starting to show some signs of age and there are a few scatches to the glass top. Metal frame in good condition, washed with gold by someone some time ago. Buyer to pay shipping. Small Asian Tabletop Folding Screen, Floral and Mountain Scenes on Cloth
Beautiful. Small Asian tabletop folding screen features dark lacquered wood with four panels. Each panel has a scene on front and reverse side in what appears to us to be cloth, with each section protected by glass: one side features floral and garden scenes on each of the four panels, and the other side features mountain scenes on each of the four panels. Each panel measures 6-3/4" long, with total width when fully opened 9-1/2" When closed and stacked, piece is 1-5/8" tall. This is a used piece and shows significant signs of wear. Visible scuffing and scratching and wear spots in many spots on wood portion of piece. On both sides. This is an Amazing& Very Unique Tabletop Asian Screen Pics do not do it justice! The frame is wood& is in very good condition. Individual screens are a combination of hand painting. Tiny shells and other artist mediums. It was very difficult to capture how very gorgeous this piece is by photographs. Use magnifying tool to see detail better. There is some variation of color of the cream background. I cannot tell if that is intentional, or some discoloration has occurred over time.
