This was made by the Nashua package sealing Company in Nashua NH and is a very well built machine. Push down on the crank/arm and a piece of packing tape is automatically moistened and cut to length. Length has 4 different settings ranging from about 6in- 12in. This machine holds 10! different US patents and had others pending. This is a early model with metal well for water storage. Uses 1 1/2in wide tape and measures 13inL X 7inH X 5inW. Machine shows use and age. Has many scratches on top and sides but is completely intact and in working order. Vtg National Package Tape Dispenser Nashua Package Sealing Co N.H. Model 208
Up for auction is an old vintage NATIONAL PACKAGE SEALER. MODEL 208, NASHUA PACKAGE SEALING DIVISION, NASHUA N.H. It was found at a local flea market so I don't know any history or specific age. It has a partial roll of sealing tape still in it and it pushes it through I believe correctly when the handle is depressed. It has a setting on the side where you can set the tape length, 8,6,4,3. I believe thats inches BUT I CANNOT GET THIS TO MOVE. It must be an older model as I seen on another listing older ones have the metal water container which this one is metal. The brush is also still in the container. I would describe it as being in fair to good used vintage condition. There is some scratches and scuffed. Chipped paint. The chrome-look handle has minor-typical pitting. The metal water container and the ribbed edge where the moistened ... moretape came out is corroded with lots if build up. Not sure if it would clean off. As stated above, I can NOT get the tape length selector to move. I did NOT put water in it to see if it moistened tape. I'll also let the new owner decide if they want to clean off the Chiquita Banana stickers! see photos) Its overall a nice old piece but I always try to be more critical in my descriptions and will not call something mint if it's not! The bottom measures 12 3/8" in length and 4" in width at its widest point. Its approx 6 1/4" in height toward the back high point(not counting the handle) The handle is approx 6 1/4" in length. It is also heavy so I will use a flat rate priority box. I believe the photos show it well. Check them all out as they are part of the description. Please feel free to ask questions!
