Gummed tape dispensers require minimal preventive maintenance and care. However. The gummed tape used in tape dispensers produces a"dust" that if not removed can reduce the performance of the unit. Minimal lubrication is required for the cutting blades. Oiling these blades lightly on a monthly basis will greatly extend the life and performance of the blades. Weekly washing of the water brushes will assure the most effective reactivation of the glue on the tape. On reinforced tape the glues are heavier. And during dispensing some of this glue wipes off on the brushes and runs into the water tank. If not washed out with warm water and mild soap weekly the glue will accumulate and reduce the effectiveness of the moistening system by clogging the water brush bristles. All of the tape particles and dust(from use) has been cleaned and removed. The blade and cleaner felt has been oiled properly. All of the size buttons work properly. As do the repeat and remaining buttons. It has the water bottle. Water tray, new brush and power cord. The heater top has very minimal cut marks and heats up perfectly. Normally they have numerous deep cut marks from untrained users. In some of the pics it shows it disasembled but that was when I was refurbing it. It is fully assembled now and funtions perfectly. This unit is in perfect condition and will last for a very long time in a high volume work place. I would keep it myself but I have the first one I reconditioned and use it for all my shipping needs. These units work fantastic and adds a professional look to your sealed boxes. It looks much better and is stronger and faster than what a plastic tape gun can give in my opinion. Absolutly NO RUST.
