Containing Kirby 6, Kirby 1/0, Carlisle 6, Carlisle 2 and Limerick 3/0 hooks. The tin was originally sealed in plastic on a cardboard backing when I first found it in Granddad's tackle box. Since then. Humidity caused the plastic to de-adhere from the cardboard. The cardboard and plastic packaging is included as part of the auction lot. The metal tin was in mint condition, but now has a few spot of paint loss due to my carelessness. I took a peek at the hooks, they're shiny and new. Overall, in very good condition. This is a nice vintage 12 foot. 3 piece LEW CHILDRE cane pole made in Japan. It is still in the original factory plastic wrap. I'm not sure of its age but there is part of a green price sticker on the wrap that I believe shows a price of one dollar thirty something so it obviously has some age to it. This 10-piece Playset is manufactured by SuperToys TM. In researching this particular toy. I learned that this Toy Company was started in 1976. In my attempts to research this particular item, I spent almost 2 hours and utilized several search engines to try to locate, or find another one on-line, all attempts unsuccessful, thus, its rarity. I even telephoned the manufacturer, left a voice-mail, but never received a call-back. What I did learn from my research was that they are not currently making this playset anymore, and this is in all probability one of their earliest products. This is a 10-piece playset; it is called a"Star Commander II, Chunkies Playset. None of the 10 pieces have ever been removed from its original packaging-all are still attached to their cardboard packing, just as it came from the manufacturer. Three of the ... morefour plastic box windows have been knocked out, and there are a couple of small tears in the cardboard packaging, but overall, it is in excellent shape for being approximately 30-plus years old!
