Old, heavy metal paper tape dispenser that you would find in butcher shops, on sales counters or anywhere you needed to have access to packing tape. It measures 14 inches long, 3.5 inches wide and 7 inches high. It is marked: Simplex 10, Better Packages Inc. Patent nos. 18321 and 18322; Shelton Conn. It has directions for use in the lid, and says sharp blade cuts, and uses up to 1.5 inch-paper tape. The only thing I see missing is the brush that moistens the tape. I have found a website that has a parts list and exploded drawing of this item, but it says most parts are discontinued. I think you could use a 1 1/2" paintbrush cut to fit for this replacement.
