This is a Frigidaire stove/oven combo which was in our families lake cabin since it was built in the 1950's-1960's. It has been in the cabin since new and has been used since. It was recently replaced and now it is looking for a new owner. Our family really loved this thing as it always worked and it had a lot of personality due to its age. Color and general vintage novelty. We don't know much about the old Frigidaire models or which ones are/ aren't collectable but it just didn't feel right taking it to the dump. Normal 0 Chambers Stainless Steel Built-In Wall Oven from the 1950's Perfect for Mid-Century Kitchen Renovation Up for auction is a Chambers stainless steel gas built-in wall oven. It is the“Imperial” Model MO-9-H. Chambers built some of the very first built-in wall ovens available. And this one came from a 1950’s house in the Chicago area. We purchased it, along with a Chambers built-in cook top(see my other auction for this item) for a remodeling job. But we ended up moving and don’t have a need for these any more. Vintage Chambers stoves have regained their popularity because of Rachel Ray. I haven’t used this particular oven. But I did have a 1940’s mint green Chambers full size stove that I used for a number of years. It was great! It features the unique“cook with the oven off” feature. You can preheat the oven to 500 degrees, sear the outside of a roast, chicken or turkey, then turn the oven off to complete the cooking. Foods stay very moist on the inside, crisp on the outside. We looked a long time to find a Chambers wall oven. It wasn’t easy to find. So if you’re restoring a mid-1950s house and want authentic appliances. This is the item for you. This oven has all of the parts. It does have some surface rust and some little dings on the top…see photos. But these are the areas that are built-in. So they aren’t seen once the oven is installed. All the labeling is clear and legible. The door opens and closes easily. It also seals properly. The dials turn smoothly and precisely. Please refer to the for more details on the condition of the item. When we tested this unit it powered on without any problems. We turned the heat on and let the unit sit for about ten minutes. We then checked the internal temperature with an IR thermometer and found that the unit heated properly to a temperature of 115º F on the upper two shelves. And 125º F on the lower two shelves.
