This is an auction for a restored antique black cast iron louvered floor grate. No rust ready to install. This grate has been sand blasted and then repainted. All the parts are in good working shape. No rust. Louvers work smoothly. The grate is 13 3/4" long by9 1/2" wide. The part that fits into the floor is 10 1/2" long by 7 1/2" wide. It is 2" tall. Some light pitting either from original production or from sand blasting. But very minor. See the last photo. The grate even has the original pin in the wheel to open and close the louvers. TWO Vintage Cast Iron Heat Vent Air Register Grates Antique hardware
Up for auction are 2 antique cast iron register grates. These were both used as floor grates. One of them has ventilation control panels. The other one does not. Grate#1(with vent control panels) measures: Top side outer dimensions: 13 7/8" x 11 7/8" Bottom side dimensions that would fit into the cutout portion of the floor: 12" x 10" The vent panels currently do not open. But they do move, leading me to believe that with some minor dis-assembly and cleaning, all should work. No missing parts or cracks anywhere. Fair amount of rust. Sandblasting or wire brushing will be necessary. Grate#2(no vent panels) measures: Top side outer dimensions: 15 3/4" x 11 7/8" Bottom side dimensions that would fit into the cutout portion of the floor: 14" x 10" As can be seen in the photo. Pair of hard to find stamped steel with original gilt painted finish heat register grille air diverters. These are the same size and will fit over those super common stamped steel grilles measuring 14" wide. The grille needs to be at least 8 1/2" deep but can go from there for example the 2 I have at my old house are on 14" by 10" grilles and they are fine. The side of one has some light rust but overall these are a rare survivor. A real conversation piece!

The lever that works the louvers I believe is broken.It has a makers mark of MM& FP Milwaulkie, Wi.It measures 9 3/4" by 7 3/4" across the front and 7 1/2" by 5 1/2 across the back. It is 2" thick. Appears as though faint rust may be trying to break through the surface. I grade this as EXCELLENT for an antique piece. There are no holes for screws. This may be used for heat vents. Ceramic Porcelain Stove Heater Top Flue Vent. Victorian. Nice Gift. Rare Unusual
This white glazed ceramic porcelain vent or flue is probably off an old gas stove or room heater from the Victorian era. Likely the late 1800s or early 1900s. It measures 11 inches long, 4 ½ inches high, and 2 ¼ inches in depth. The porcelain is crazed and has only a couple of minor cracks. I can see 2 very small chips about 1/8 inch in diameter along the base. I see no manufacturers mark, and do not really know for sure what it was originally made for. There is a 4 inch by 10 inch black metal plate on the back that can be easily unbolted if desired. You could use it as a unique holder for dried flowers. Or add a couple of glass test tubes(not included) and use it to hold a couple of freshly cut flowers. I am including a couple of plastic tube things that also could work for holding cut flowers. This would make a unique gift for ... morethat special person who likes unusual antiques. Flowers, and recycled items. This item is bubble wrapped and double boxed so it should travel well. Beautiful. Ornate 19th Century Cast Bronze Heat Register In excellent condition. But in very excellent condition considering this beautiful piece is over a century old! It is 12 x 16(front measurements) the vent piece in the back measures 10 x 14 The vents open and close easily. Great for home restoration, decoration, or other projects. The front is very ornate. Victorian gothic swirls, victorian designs are typically known for being very over the top, and I'd say this one fits the bill! In these times vents and registers were sure to be key features of homes, and interior decor! There is a hallmark on the back. The only letters I could clearly make out were B L E Y MFG CO, not sure what Mfg Company this was. the front actually unscrews from the back. Morton Pottery Pie Bird Pie Vent Vintage AS IS
This Morton pottery pie bird is 5" tall. It is white with bluish green. Red and yellow accents and has a nice glossy finish. It has a clay separation under one of the arches that is a manufacturing flaw. It has caused a 1/4" crack on the inside. There is also a small chip at the end of the same arch.
