Brevetti Motta Delta Uni Underpinning Picture Framing/Molding Machine
Here's a used Delta Uni pneumatic framing machine by Brevetti Motta(Italy) Made in 1999. Came out of a recently closed local woodshop. It uses right angled staples to pin(underpin) picture frames and moldings together. The machine has been thoroughly tested and works extremely well. It is entirely pneumatic and runs on very little air. A very small compressor can run this machine. You place your two mitered corners on the table of the machine(in the right angle) Then depress the footswitch. The pneumatic cylinder presses and holds the molding down, while the stapler pushes the"pin" up into the back of your frame. Done. The machine has a sliding mechanism with stops which allows you to do multiple pinning for larger moldings. I was surprised how well this little machine works. It's quiet and quick and makes a very solid joint. ... moreThe pneumatics work perfectly and there are no air leaks. There are some staples included. The machine is robust and very well built. It weighs over 70 pounds. So shipping will be a little pricey. It will take up about 24" x 14" on your bench. It has very few moving parts and doesn't require a lot of tinkering to get it set up(unlike some other woodworking machines) It took me about 5 minutes to figure it out. If you're doing any kind of custom framing. Then this is the machine you need. They don't come up very often so take advantage.
