"Appalachian Stove" Wood Burning Fireplace Insert + Blower & Catalytic Combuster
You are bidding on a used"Appalachian Stove" Brand Wood Burning Fireplace Insert with Blower and Catalytic Combuster. The unit measures 31 in. wide by 23 in. high by 27 in deep and is slightly trapezoidal in shape. The unit is being sold as the current owners wish to block the chimney. The unit works perfectly and can really pump out a lot of heat once the blower kicks in. The built in ash tray makes cleaning the ash very easy. The catalytic combuster may need replacing as the age of it is unknown. The only known defects are one of the internal bricks cracked when cleaning the ashes and the knob to control the fan speed broke off(see pictures) This does not impact performance in any way. In fact the owner was unaware of the broken knob until the time of this posting. The blower volume is not too loud to impede watching T.V. in the ... moresame room. Up for sale is our old Fireplace Insert. Now replaced with a Pellet-Burning unit. This has been keeping our home very warm since 1987, and is still in very good working order. The unit was made in Orrville, OH, and manuals can still be gotten for it. This is for local pickup only, and comes with the trim/filler plate for openings larger than the facade of the unit. Now for the dimensions: The Facade is 38" wide. 29" tall at the center and 26" at the sides. The Flue Collar is 6.25" in diameter. Comes out at the top. The actual firebox(which needs to fit into your old opening) is 24" wide. 18" tall and 15" deep. The internal dimensions of the firebox are 21" wide to 16" wide from the front to the back. 9" tall and 12.5" deep. The trim plate. For covering what the facade doesn't of your ... moreopening, is 44" wide by 31" tall. A 20" log will be a very tight fit. But anything shorter than 15" fits easily. I am offering a vintage. Cone-shaped wood burning fireplace with log grate, screen and two sections of chimney pipe. The screen is in very good condition, the log grate is very heavy and has only a little rust. There is a cast iron disk of sorts that is stamped with Adams Company Dubuque Iowa- I think this is the stove pipe damper. This was recently removed from a spare room in my home and does need a thorough cleaning. It was used as recently as last winter and works fine. There are no major dings and only minimal rust. I've considered refurbishing it and converting it to gas or using it on a screened sun porch but I just don't have the time. Available for pick up only.

The dimensions Insert= 30"W x 26.5"H x 26 D and shows the make as Concept II CEMI Ashland. O It vents through the top but not through a round opening but rather vent like openings to your chimney. Since our fireplace brick has cracks and we are installing a chimney liner we unfortunately need to replace this insert with one with a rounded opening to attach the liner to. You are looking at a Country Wood Stove. It has the date of feb. 1997 on it serial# s-160 6520. This wood burning stove had no problems when we removed it from service 2 years ago. We were using it to heat our whole house for years. With the addition of our 4th child my wife wanted more closet space so we removed the stove to build a walk in closet. The stove comes with everything needed to install. It enemies comes with 6 containers of cleaner and a bottle of gasket glue.There are two bricks that have fallen down inside when we moved it to the garage. I think they can just be glued back in place. It also comes with a fan that circulates the heat. We saved this in our garage for 2 years hoping to find somewhere in the house to reinstall. But there is no way for us to vent the chimney properly where we have left to install. Vintage/Antique Fireplace Bellows Primitive Decor Fire Starter Wood Burning NICE
This is a very nice vintage fireplace. Fire starter bellows that measures 15 1/2" x 7" made of dark wood and black vinyl material with a brass or metal nose. It has a primitive look with a small brass eagle on the front. It would be nice for the primitive decorating style. It has normal wear with a repair to the top wood handle that has been glued but not very noticeable. One brad has been replaced on the back with a tack and nail. All brads look to be secure all around. There are no tears in the vinyl. The wood has normal dings and there is a splinter broken out on the handle edge. The wood has separated some on the top piece at the handle(look at the last picture) The nose is either brass or metal with a brass finish. The seam is secure and tight with some discoloration. This insert was special ordered so we don't know the specific model number. It is noncatalytic. It has a blower that kicks in once the stove reaches the temperature threshold. It has been used very little but works perfectly. The interior of the stove is 11.5 inches wide and 18 inches deep. 12 inches tall. The exterior shell is 23 inches wide, 15.5 inches deep and 20 inches tall. It comes with trim that makes the front facing area measure 39.75 inches wide and 29 inches tall.
