Ludwig 16 X 16 Floor Tom in the cracking sound of 6 ply maple. The serial# is 2178868 which would put it late 70;s early 80's. This drum has been used. But not abused, taken care of. There are a few small white marks, a tint pin spot under the logo, and about 1" scratch by the leg holder. 1 leg is real clean, the others need some cleaning, but everything on this drum functions fine. The heads seem pretty good, but I'm not a drummer, I play guitar. It is in nice condition, no warping, peeling, ect. The B/O badge is smooth corner, and is banged around, as usual, but stable. This is the rise from the ashes for the company, these things rock, and are responsible for alot of hit records. This is a really nice players drum that sounds better than most dums today. The back and seat are removable with a common pair of pliers and the original bolts/nuts are intact. Basically, you can recover the seat and back in whatever material you want to match your decor and taste. The back is also completely removable so you can use this as a stool, if desired. Vox Buckingham Plywood Cabinet Shell AC-30 Project - Baffle Modified for 1x15
Up for auction is an original Vox Buckingham cabinet made here in the U.S. by Thomas Organ Company which was the U.S. solid state version of the British Vox AC-30. The cabinet shell is made of plywood and must be an earlier one before Vox went to all particle board cabinets which really increased the weight of their cabinets. However. The baffle on this cabinet is particle board as is the case with all baffles made here in the U.S. by Thomas Organ. It was modified at some point for a single 15" speaker. I see 3 possibilities here. You could work with the baffle in its current state and either: 1) keep the single 15" speaker or(2) return it to a 2x12 configuration by adding some reinforcement bars. At least 2 screw holes for each original 12" speaker are still present. So it would be easy to line up the other 2 for each speaker. ... moreThe original style combination#10 wood and 8/32 machine thread speaker mounting screws are still available, including from Antique Electronics(part no. P-H247) Four originals are included in this auction. The 3rd possibility would be to rout out the current baffle around its 1/8" groove and then install cleats and a removable baffle(preferably birch plywood) in your choice of speaker configuration like on a British AC30 cabinet. As already mentioned in the condition description. The vinyl is coming loose. I have the original vinyl piece from the bottom and will include it since it will be useful as a template. Missing and not included in this auction are the rear panel, bottom feet, trolley mounting hardware, speaker grille cloth, gold cabinet string, and front gold fascia strip. All 8 original plastic corners are present although 1 bottom one has a piece missing. One T-nut on the bottom for a back panel screw is also missing. The 15" speaker pictured is not included but is only used to show how a 15" currently fits into this cabinet. There is a stick on hanger on the back where someone had it hanging on their wall.

I have seen both The version with the 3 exposed screws APPEARS to be the Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen version. I am about 95% confident. The earliest version of the Arne Jacobsen stool is identical to this. Same legs. Same rubber stays, same 3 screws. IT IS NOT MARKED in any way that I can find. Originally it might have had a paper label. Or a stamp that has worn off. This example is in excellent condition. Teak laminate top is excellent. Legs are straight and strong with minimal dings. I think at one time it was a door stop the two holes on the bottom edge screw into a piece of wood on the back an slide under a door. I have had it some many years I can't remember. Most of these photos make these look like they have an orange hue to them Trust me. These are vibrant red with no orange color at all in them! Tiny 1/16" nicks on edges. Only a couple. Welcome! For sale is this pair of Arne Jacobsen design series 7 butterfly chairs. Please check out my pics. They will be the best description for these items. They hve no smoke odors and are not warped or abused,just normal aging are seen and the finish I beive t be original.The tubular chrome frames are not pitted.There is some veneer along the edge that has worn off in some areas, not very noticeable, no severe damage of any kind, the legs are in good condition, however some of the caps on the end of the chairs legs have worn through, but I understand they are replaceable. There is a tag on the bottom that reads VP/ made in Italy. Having looked up the origin of the chair, I found that in 1950-1952, Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton, had collaborated on several designs before parting ways, and the only thing I can come up with in regards to ... morethe label"VP" is Verner Panton and the connection he had with Arne Jacobsen. Lot of 4 iconic 40/4 stacking chairs in bent oak plywood with chrome steel bases. Designed in 1964 by David Rowland. The 40/4 is part of MOMA's permanent collection. The chairs are all in good vintage condition with normal signs of use. There is a bit of wear to the plywood edges, along with a few small veneer chips, see pics) The finish is very good and there is no loose veneer. There are some faint scrapes on the seats from being stacked. Overall the chairs look great, and they are extremely comfortable) but they are not new. All chairs have labels. These chairs are in great. Lightly-used condition. I'm the 2nd owner. The first bought these from an local interior designer. The chairs have sticker on bottom from the interior design order stating"DCM" and has an order date of 2007. Having newer 2007 DCM chiars is nice because the rubber shock mounts are pliable and won't be brittle, like many of the vintage-era DCM chairs. One of the chairs has some very light scratches on it's back(shown in pictures) There are other tiny dings and a chip also shown in photos. Barely noticable. But I just want full disclosure, as I know some buyers/collectors are extremely picky. About a year ago, I deep-cleaned ... morethe chairs, rubbed out blemishes(with 0000 steel wool) and applied a fresh coat of teak oil. They look terrific! Particularly their early work, this may be your last chance to source one of the early early Eames aircraft parts. It is highly unlikely that this item is going to appear again if ever. If it sells I will be pleased to have shared this early part of the history of the Eames work with someone else similarly inclined. If not, I will put it back into storage-it ... morewill not be relisted. Just after completing the work on the molded plywood splint. The Eames and Molded Plywood turned their attention to Aircraft Parts. Based on a footnote in the Kirkham book"Charles and Ray Eames, 2500 pieces where produced. Neuhart, Neuhart and Eames"Eames Design identifies these parts as destined to be installed on the US Army Air Corps Vultee BT-13 Trainer. The info on the identification plate sugegsts that at least these parts could be used across multiple aircraft types. In 1944 the Eames exhibited some of their war related work in a show at MOMA entitled"Design for Use. If you review the photo that I have reproduced from the Kirkham Book you can see the molded plywood skin from a Vultee flap shown sitting just to the right on the table next to Ray's iconic experimental molded plywood sculpture. Vintage Thonet Gull Wing Side Arm Chair Mid-Century Modern Molded Plywood
Great look and it is sound and solid but has been painted. It looks like a red primer first then brown on top.It was done many years ago as there is wear to the paint. Also there is a 1/16" deep by 1" wide by 5" long piece of veneer missing from the furniture grade plywood that this is made of. It is at the base of the one arm and it is common to have a problem there as the veneer wants to buckle when they steam form them in to place. It usually blisters and cracks there. If you are going to strip it and take it back to the original blonde finish you'll need to replace it with the natural plywood veneer strip. If you are going to repaint it you just paint over top. Fill it with wood filler or just patch it in with any veneer strip you can find. It sets very comfortable. The table was made to go with her famous plywood chair designed in 1963. It won the Daily Mail International Furniture competition that year(1963) The piece is constructed of bent plywood with teak veneer. The top is in excellent shape. There are some chips along the bottom of both outside edges. The inside has quite a bit of veneer lose. But the table is original condition. There are no repairs.
