Panel Saw for cutting 4 x 8 Plywood
This is a kit built panel saw. It has been a few years since I built it. But I think the kit was a sawtrax brand. I bought the metal parts and built it out of 3/4" maple plywood. The wood parts are clear coated with two coats of lacquer. It easily handles full sheets of 3/4" plywood. If you need, it can also handle material up to 1" thick. The saw can be turned 90 degrees and locked in place so you can push a panel through it lengthwise. In the position shown you can crosscut a full sheet of plywood. Overall dimensions are 84 1/2" high 109 1/2" long and requires 21" deep from a wall to operate properly. The saw is counter balanced so that you can raise it with a finger. There is a built in saw stop. The saw that is mounted to the panel saw is a low priced Skilsaw. I wired the switch to the saw in the on position ... moreand used an external switch shown in the photographs to turn the saw on and off. The saw probably has 18-20 hours use. It was always a backup saw rather than my main one. My web address, roseman.info, shows the kind of product I make. The saw is accurate. The quality of cut depends on the blade.

Child's Wood Chair, Bent Plywood Seat, Mid Century Modern, Eames Era ?, School
This sweet little child's chair stands a total of 22 1/2" tall. The seat is a bent plywood being 13 1/2" from the floor and 11 3/4" deep. It reminds me very much of the mid century modern or Danish type furniture. The plywood has a very slight separation started on one edge that is about 3" long. There are 2 tiny 1/2" surface checks on one side where the seat meets the back. The letters APA on the bottom of the seat look like black marker and the line on the bottom of the seat is part of the plywood manufacture. I'm pretty sure the wood is a straight maple with spots that look like there may be a little curl and a few small spots of what might be bird's eye. There are some scratches. The finish shows wear and a couple of small nicks on the edges of the back pieces and legs, some light roughness along the ... moreedge of the seat. The chair is very solid and ready to use as is or refinish if one so desired. It's a really cool little rescued chair. Please take a look at all the pictures and I added a few that follow.
