Vintage Kipp Gas Generator
Up for sale is a vintage Kipp Gas Generator. This is a fairly large unit that is 24 inches tall(please see pix) The unit has no cracks and appears to be hand blown. I have never used it and don't have a place to display it. I cannot rightly say how old it is but I would say it is at least 60 years old but not older than 100. When Kipp invented this apparatus in the 1850's. It was very useful. However, compressed gases are much easier and cleaner than relying on this. It is in good used condition and should function as intended upon arrival in your lab since it was a working pull. No major marks or damages. There is a little corrosion on the bottom of the unit. This probably comes from having water spilled around it. It does appear to be missing the lid that covers up the caps on the top of the unit. It is otherwise complete. Unit powers on.
