With a Georgia shield printed on the chair back. Made in Hong Kong" is printed in very small letters under the seat. The seat cushion appears to be made of styrofoam covered with red felt. It has been used, and pinholes are visible in the felt. It measures 2 1/2" tall and 1 3/8" wide. The brass frame is all good. No breaks or bends. This has been in my mother's home since the 1960's. This auction is for a handmade needlepoint pin cushion. Featuring a cluster of violets with deep purple velvet binding. Sides, and bottom. It measures approx. 6-1/2" in diameter and is 3" high. Years ago. In the 60's and 70's, I frequently shopped at a wonderful, upscale store on Fifth Avenue in NYC, by the name of Bonwit Teller. Bonwit's logo was a cluster of purple violets, which was used on everything. At that time, I was doing a lot of needlepoint, and one day I did a free-hand design of Bonwit's violets and stitched it over the next few days. I then had the piece finished with deep purple velvet to form a pin cushion. I haven't used it in years, having stored it in a drawer in a plastic bag. Somehow, over the years, a few of the stitches, that are scattered, have disappeared or disintegrated. Almost all ... moreare single stitches, but in one place, there are 4 stitches(in a small square) missing. Vintage Red Hat Pincushion with Rhinestone Flowers Here is a cute vintage pincushion shaped like a ladies' hat. The hat is a dark red color(not quite maroon) fabric. Accented on the band is a group of metal flowers with four rhinestone and one pearl centers. The 4" diameter pincushion still has lots of pins and needles in it. This pincushion is in good condition. Size: 4-3/4L x 2-1/4”Tx 1-1/2”W The body of the shoe is tan leather and it has a stacked heel. The cushion is pink satin. Trimmed with velvet ribbon. I can’t tell if the cushion is a replacement or not, not having seen a shoe like this before, but it looks very clean so it may be. Up for bid is another delightful recent find. This is a vintage red cloth pin cushion in the shape of a tomato. This vintage red tomato cloth pin cushion is filled with dozens of pins. I'm not certain as to the vinatge or origin. It is possibly a handcrafted pin cushion. There is a small seam area that was'repaired' using black thread(See photo#3)this tiny repair adds to the charm of this pin cushion. The pin cushion measures just 2 1/2" in diameter and about 1 1/4" in depth. This would make a nice addition to any vintage pin cushion collection. Don't let this one get away. Be sure to bid early. Large size it is glazed in brown with gold finish(the gold color has aged to a brown metallic) comes with a plastic thimble that was with it at the estate. The pins that were in the cushion. The measures retracts but is a little quirky and we do not advise pulling it past the 32 inch mark. A worn tip to one of the rocker feet(is that the word for it) but I do not see any other flaws apart from the temperamental tape measure.
