It's in very nice condition since it hasn't been used much and has been stored in a garage for most of its life. It's original padded orange cushion is also in nice condition with no cracking and it has the original yellow nylon ropes. Muck made copies of his mouthpieces for others and perhaps this is one. This mouthpiece has recently been replated and not played since. It is quite nice and ready to play. There are a few minor marks. The shank is round. I have taken photos from several angles to allow you to check it's condition. If you click the photos. They will supersize for a better view. Mopemery Antique Carved Mother Of Pearl Emery Cushion English* Circa 1850 This pretty little Victorian mother of pearl emery cushion is carved on both sides with a sunburst design that catches the light. The mother of pearl is very luminous. The condition is excellent with no chips or other damage. It has a red silk cushion(intact and original) and is stuffed with emery powder. It measures 3/4" in diameter. Nerylla Taunton shows similar ones on p. 138 of her book Antique Needlework Tools. It would have been part of a workbox set of sewing tools. Emeries were used to sharpen and polish the steel needles of the age. Emery powder is a fine grit and the needles were pushed in and out the cushion several times. It also removed rust. Listing is for ONE item. They are labeled#1& 2 so 2 are available. This listing is for shoe#2. This auction is for an antique Victorian leather shoe pin cushion. It measures approximately 4.25" from toe to heel and 2" tall at the highest point. There are NO beads missing on either one. The leather is in excellent condition& the velvet is also in excellent condition& appears to never have had a pin stuck into it. The bottom of shoe#1 has a slight scuff as seen in the photo& the bottom separates when not resting on the shoe as shown in the picture, nothing was done to fix this so as to not decrease the value. Shoe#2 has an X on the bottom, it appears to be in pencil. You can also see what appears to be the nail/tack in the heel. The bottom of shoe#2 separates when not sitting upright about 1/8th of an inch. Again this ... morewas not attempted to be repaired.

This auction is for a ~ LOVELY VICTORIAN*TUNBRIDGE PIN CUSHION* Great antique condition. C1850 ~ From Tunbridge Wells in the county of Kent. England DETAILS: In Tunbridge ware. Geometric patterns are made of small bits of different naturally colored woods. The top of this piece has the original dark green velvet pin cushion. T he piece is in excellent condition with only a few light scuffs to the clear finish. It measures 1 5/8" wide and is 1 3/8" high. It is in very good antique condition. There is no loss or chips on any of the wooden pieces. About Tunbridge Ware- Tunbridge Wells in Kent started attracting tourists as early as the 17th century. When travelers came to partake of the curative powers of its spring waters. By the end of the 17th century"curious wooden wares" were sold in Tunbridge shops. About 1830 craftsmen ... morefrom Tunbridge discovered a new way of decorating their wares. Bunches of wooden sticks were glued together lengthwise. When they dried, they were cut in slices and glued onto paper before being veneered on to a wooden surface. From then on, Tunbridge craftsmen produced a great variety of designs- each unique as no single one could be reproduced a second time. A variation appeared in the 1860s- stickwork. Instead of slicing the wood horizontally, it was turned on a lathe and the patterns ran lengthwise. This technique was used on a myriad of souvenirs, including no end of sewing tools- needle cases, pin boxes, silk winders, glove menders, thimble cases, wax and emery holders as well as pin cushions including this one- all in the famous Tunbridge marquetry. In this auction I have a fabulous Old Cotton lace edging which is old ecru/ natural in colour. The piece is 8 metres long and is an old traditional cluny design. It is made with quality Heavy gauge cotton. This lace is 3/4" of an inch wide with One bottom scalloped edge and a top straight sewing edge. We as a family are' Very' proud to be the makers of the lace on Kate Middletons- The Duchess of Cornwalls. Royal Wedding Dress and underskirt. We also made the Trims that were on the Bridesmaids dresses on the collar,cuffs and around the bottom of the beautifully made little dresses. We are a small family run firm which has been making beautiful British laces for over 200 years and are still using the same machines and techniques used all those years ago. These lace and all my laces are very'vintage' in style.They are made ... moreon these old machines and it is the closest you will ever get to handmade cotton lace- made in such a way as to simulate the old fashioned handmade lace. You can see if you look closely in the picture the lace is not completely'flat' as the pattern. In this case, the flower, it is outlined on the surface of the lace. This is the same in all my laces. So, there are two sides to all my laces with the'outlined' side always being sewn uppermost on the object or garment. We are very proud of the laces we still make today and I don't think you will find any better cotton laces in the world. that this lace is NOT flimsy nylon but best quality cotton. Charming Birmingham Silver Pig Pin Cushion
This is a really charming little solid silver pig pin cushion. It is fully hall marked Birmingham Silver and the makers initials are either CME or GME- it is very hard to distinguish which. There is no date letter. The pig measures just over 5cm long and approx 2.5cm high. He has a lovely facial expression and it looks as though he is laughing or smiling. The cushion part is covered in blue velvet and is in good condition. There are a few light scratches on the body commensurate with age but you can only see these on very close inspection. This would be a great addition for anyone who collects pin cushions or pigs. Delightful antique sterling silver duck pin cushion
This is a really charming little sterling silver duck pin cushion. It is stamped'Sterling' silver on the base. The duck measures approx 3.5cm long and approx 1.5cm high. There is a lot of hand tooled detailing on the body and head showing the plumage of the bird. The cushion part is covered in a golden coloured velvet. This would be a great addition for anyone who collects pin cushions or ducks. The woman wears a pale ivory kimono embellished with yellow detailing. She sits on a black floral cushion and plays a stringed instrument. This doorstop is illustrated in the Smith book on page 232. Antique Victorian Footstool with tufted light green velvet pouf top and 2 side-panels with 2 carved wood legs on each side panel with a lovely cut-out curved design(see pics) The leg panels are made of wood and look to be oak with a lovely deep and ric h dark grain(see pics to judge and ascertain yourself) The panels are resting on a w ood bar which is secured underneath to the panels with wooden pegs(see close-up pic provided) The footstool is in good condition. The green velvet fabri c pouf-cushion is on a wooden seat-the vel vet fabric shows some wear and color fading(see pics)it has several small tears-there are 2 on stool front on either side and one tear along opposite side on back-there are no tears to fabric ... moreon stool's top(see pics-and see close-up pic of largest tear located on side front) The wooden panels/legs are in very good condition with no cracks. Chips, holes, wooden legs/panels are straight and not warped and are fixed evenly and solidly-not loose. There no stains or water damage to cushion or wood legs. There are some tiny bits of white paint in a few spots on legs which can be easily rem oved. The piece measures approx. 16" long x 12" tall x 7.5" deep.
