here is a beautiful old wooden camera tripod from the Sun Ray Photo Co. Inc. New York. it's in very good condition, but of course shows signs of age& wear. there are no cracks or repairs to the wood. the extensions slide easily, and the nuts tighten properly. the camera mount has a standard 1/4" screw. when completely unfolded, stands approx 56" tall. completely folded stands approx 22" tall. the only issue with this is the rubber tips on the feet. one is ok, but the other 2 have cracked off. there is some slight surface rust to the metal parts, excluding the camera mount.

It's in excellent(a little short of pristine. True) condition. The 3001BN accompanied me to Italy( twice along with a Sony PD170. Then helped me in videography tasks for a couple of weddings here. Nikon, Nikkor 80-200mm F2.8 AF ED lens and Manfrotto 3420 tripod bracket
I purchased this lens second hand from a Professional Photographer in Houston Texas on 4/18/2006 off of eBay. The Photographer was retiring due to health and was selling his equipment. I used this lens for years doing sports photography and it was always a great performer. Now I'm doing all nature. Landscape and macro photography and not using this lens anymore so it is time to put it in the hands of someone that will. I replaced this lens last summer with a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 OS DG EX HSM because I wanted a new lens with OS and couldn't afford the Nikon version. This lens has the push-pull type zoom feature and does not have a tripod collar(was not designed with one) In order to use this lens on a monopod or tripod I purchased a Manfrotto 3420 bracket that would allow you to attach your camera and lens to either a monopod or tripod(see ... morepictures) This bracket is rare and is included with the lens in this auction. The part of this bracket that attaches to the camera has a quick disconnect and at the end of the lens there is a velcro strap that wraps around the lens to secure it to the bracket. The velcro strap does not interfere with the zoom or focus feature of the lens. The condition of this lens is pristine. There is no fungus or mold on the optics and few very small dust particles behind the front element but nothing that affects the picture quality. The exterior surface is also pristine with no dings. Dents or missing paint. The only missing paint is on the lens hood, all of which is visible in the pics. I think I have provided enough pics to properly represent the lens. Nice Old Chinese Archaic Form Bronze Ritual Tripod Wine Vessel
I know that this is at least 50 years old. So it is an antique. But, I do not know how much older it really is. We are closing out an estate and I took this to an antique dealer and was told it was a very old copy of an ancient Chinese Bronze lamp. In researching it, however, it seems to be a ritual wine vessel which was used in burial ceremonies. I do know that these items have been copied for over 1000 years, but whether this is ancient or a newer reproduction, I have no idea. That having been stated, it is a very nice three legged vessel which stands a little over 6 inches tall and weighs 22 ounces. There is no damage to it, and it does have green patina on it. I have here an absolutely stunning vintage floor lamp. Perfect for your Mid Century, Industrial, Loft, Art Deco or Eclectic decor.This is a one-of a kind piece, with real presence in a room! The vintage stage light was manufactured in Chicago in the mid century- late 50's or early 60's. The design itself is even earlier. With definite Art Deco influence. It was originally a 1000 watt light with a fan built into the back of the housing. The fan has been removed and the original socket and wiring replaced with a modern Edison socket(accepts standard household light bulbs. The light retains a very high percentage of its original finish- very nearly all of it. The beam focuses smoothly from a spot to a flood via a Bakelite knob in back. The 4.5" fresnel lens is in perfect condition and makes for excellent accent lighting, or even ... moreroom lighting if deflected from a wall or ceiling. The light assembly measures 9.5" wide by 11.5" deep, and stand 12.5" high from the tripod head. The tripod is contemporary to the light. This is a very rare piece. Made in France. The head articulates fully and smoothly via a unique large-scale ball joint. The mix of beautifully patinated cast and machined metal, chrome, brass, aluminum and wood is quite striking and perfectly complements the light. The whole assembly as pictured measures 65" tall. It appears to be made by David White after looking on e-bay at others of it's kind(a real close look may show a small part of a red decal) It was used on a Sokkisha transit so it may even be a Keuffel& Esser. I don't know. The only markings that are left on it are the serial number of 74867 and the thread size stamped on the head of 8 3/12 and the numbers on the ground spikes of 298-3. The thread cap appears to have been replaced as it appeared to be made of plastic but it could be bakelite which might make it original. I wish I could give you more but if you know about these things you should be able to identify it's maker with all of the pictures I posted. Vintage eames era mid century yellow plastic beehive tripod accent lamp light
For sale is a vintage beehive tripod light lamp. It measures about 15 inches high by 8 inches wide. The plastic beehive shade is in excellent condition without any breaks in the plastic or discoloration. The tripod base is in good shape also but the brass colored metal does show some tarnish and discoloration. Very minor and expected of something this vintage. It doesn't deter from(as you can see from pictures) the overall beauty or function of item. Include as a matter of accuracy of description. The tripod has wooden legs which I think are teak or some other hard wood. Th fixture has a one bulb holder which has the original working wiring which appears to not have to be replaced. Up for sale is a Gerald Thurston for lightolier. Sometimes mis-attributed to Mathieu Mategot. This is one of the earliest models judging by the power plug. Exceptional condition with many features, please see General Description and Condition sections. General Description: This is a quality item. A very early Gerald Thurston floor lamp standing 56" tall with a 23" diameter shade. A highly sought after Floor lamp with minimal footprint as an alternative to the Thurston tripod lamp(the model I'm selling is taller) It is capable of being tucked between furniture whereas the tripod model requires larger footprint area. This model has a very heavy poured 12" ... morewide ingot at the bottom stamped with model number and Lightolier's manufacturer mark, with the ingot itself having 6 feet as part of pour, resulting in the lamp being raised 1/2 above the ground. Above this rests a 12"metal curved thick plate cover, and above this a 7" white thick metal plate that contrasts the 3 poles that rise to the lamp diffuser and shade. The light socket is a three-way switch meaning three power levels can be used with an appropriate bulb providing the right lighting at various times from a soft glow to a full illumination of a room. Typically a 150 watt bulb is used. The white perforated metal sections disburse the light with concentration on downward and uninhibited up ceiling/wall washing. With a very large wide shade of 23" that does not blind you when being viewed, yet due to it's size provides a large amount of light. Finally the Linen shade has a 9" wide aperture at the top and 23" bottom with a 9" slant providing a very modernist line to the form of the lamp stand.
