Here's something you don't see everyday. From the closed shop of a lifetime master toolmaker. A rotary 5C collet indexer, BUT look at the photos carefully. Instead of the traditional or common pin lock on the degree wheel. This degree wheel is notched on it's circumference like a gear. You can see in the photos markings of 30 degrees, ie. 30-60-90-120-etc. etc. There are 5 notches between each degree marking, thus each notch is 5 degrees. Has a pawl with safety latch that prevents accidental movement without deliberately swinging the safety latch outwards. also has an eccentric lever that forces the pawl tightly into the notch to eliminate any tiny movements due to wear of a tooth. All in All a real neat piece and I would imagine very handy in the shop. Built by the toolmaker, this isn't a cobbed together piece of junk- REAL ... moreworkmanship here! ONE OF A KIND! A local company is in the process of re-locating its machine shop facility. In doing so. The maintenance shop is being liquidated along with any surplus tools and accessories from the machine shop. As the pieces are released for disposition they will be listed for sale. I will do my best to describe the items accurately but sale is final so please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Offered here is a 5-C Spin Indexer that has a dead center mounted in the spindle. This indexer had been set up with an opposed center and I was told it had been used primarily for inspection purposes. Of course. It is suitable for use for a variety of machining operations as well. I can not read the name plate, but it looks like Remex. The fixture could use a light cleaning and appears to be in good condition.
