WELCOME! Today I am selling a 17th/18th Century Solid Silver Dutch Brandy bowl. This bowl is either a wine taster or a brandy bowl. In my opinion it is most likely a brandy bowl. This piece is double handled on a round base and decorated. The handles are' S' shap ed with beautifully h orse or dragons heads finials.Very nice detail. the piece as a very nice patten typical for 17th century Europe. To the front there is a engraved armorial. This crest is portrayed as a double shield mounted with a knights helmet and a patten around it. Inside the coat of arms there is a date and initials: 1709 AB LI. This suggest what this magnificent piece was presented as a marriage gift in 1709. The piece has no hallmarks except a single late hallmark- The dolphin mark which is a Dutch mark for articles of silver that were below the.833 purity standard. ... moreIt was used 1893-1905 in a triangular shaped cartouche. This piece was most likely made in the second half of the 17th century. It's shape and the armorial suggests that it was made in the Netherlands at that time. The armorial mug measures just under 5 inches height or about 12.5 centimeters and aside from a small shallow flake to the side of the handle it is in excellent condition. The charger measures 17 ¾ inches or 45 cm in diameter. And is just less than 3 inches high to the top rim. The platter is done in a high white and is hand painted with Imari colors in cobalt blue. Rust red, and heavy applied gold. Around the outside edges is an intricate border with cartouches. At the center of the plate is coat of arms with a crown. Fleur de Lis, and a pendant with a star and dove. Around this are branches of cherry blossoms and pomegranates. The outside rim is also decorated with four large hand painted flowers. It is in working condition but just needs cleaning, about 4 extra prisms and candle sleeves.It has 5 arms and measures 20" wide and 12" tall excluding the chain.It is made from a gold gilt metal and glass. It has bobeches on each arm which are 4" wide. With prisms attached. Total prisms are 26, it needs about 4 more and a center glass ball.The prisms are 3" long and are glass(1 prism is chipped) There are little glass flower rosettes throughout the chandelier which at one time probably had glass bead chain attached. I`m sure this could be purchased to make the chandelier truly beautiful again! The chain is 40" long and the wiring is 60" long. There is no ceiling cap included. ANTIQUE VINTAGE COUCH/ROCKING CHAIR W/ORNATE CARVED GOOSE NECK ARMS
This is an antique vintage couch and matching rocker that has ornate carved goose neck arms. This set is presently upholstered in a burgandy textured material. There are no holes or rips in the material. The set has never been refinished. I believe that this is mahogany wood. The feet appear to be carved animal feet and the goose neck arms are rolled. The couch measures 36-inches in height and 80-inches in length. The seating area is 64-inches wide and 21 7/8-inches deep. As seen in the pictures. This antique sofa has three cushions. The center arch is ornately carved. This set dates to the 1900-1950 age. The carved, curved backrest flows into the arms and slanting surface of the sofa. Both pieces show wear in the wooden frames, as seen in the pictures. This set has been in the same family for a number of years.

For sale an antique Victorian large wall pocket newspaper rack fold out with heraldic blazon style decoration. I believe this is walnut wood. The burl of the pocket fold I believe is walnut. Beautifully carved with cote of arms motif. The frame has a 10" flying dragon on each upper side and leaves all over the frame, and one plain leaf in the center in case you'd like to personalize. The burl front pocket has"L" engraved. The rack measures about 27" x 18" The wood sticks out from the wall about 3" before opening the rack. The pocket expands up to 6.5" Condition: The bottom right corner is about 8" chipped and glued as shown in last two pics. The front burl wall pocket under"L" has a white spot as shown in pic 7.
