This is the scope I used for night/weekend consulting for a few years ending about four years ago. I no longer consult. So I'm ready to part with this trusty scope. It has all the features of a four channel scope you would expect. Condition wise it is in perfect shape with no scratches or blemishes. The knobs/encoders are still'clicky' like a brand new unit. There couldn't be more than 100-200hrs of time on it as I didn't use it regularly at all even in the consulting environment. Unit comes with four standard probes with color-coated markings which make it easy to match the on-screen color to the probe in your hand. I don't have the original box. But shipping will be done right with plenty of bubble-wrap for protection. I bought this unit with the optional'communications' module which gives you a memory card ... moreand parallel/serial ports for programming/control as well as taking screen shots for sharing or publishing what you see. The users guides are included including those for the communication which are still sealed. All I ever used was the print-screen to memory card(included) And I used an old bubble-jet printer to get direct hard-copies using the parallel port. I can guarantee the unit to be fully functional. All 4 channels seem to work(although the connector on Ch. 2 is a little loose) and it passes self test( see pictures) I'm not familiar with these older TDS scopes but it seems a little flaky. Unless I'm doing something wrong. When I change the signal amplitude, it will show the correct setting on the scope(i.e. 200mV, 500mV) but the signal does not change unless I un-trigger it, and then trigger it again. Up for auction is the following item: 1 Tektronix 7904A Mainframe oscilloscope with four plugins: Two 7A26. 7B85, and a 7A24 that I kept as a spare. Serial number is BO41236; it has options 02 and 78. Comes with a P6120 probe, too! This current setup makes it a 4-channel oscilloscope. Some of the knobs are a little dirty, as to be expected, but overall, it works great. All of the switches move, the knobs turn, etc. Electrically, it works great. The traces are sharp and bright; the screen does not appear to have any burn. The first screen shot is of a 1mhz wave; the second is 100mhz. The cooling fan sometimes makes a little rattle when you first turn it on, but after about 30 second, it quiets right down. I've had the scope for about 5 years. And it hasn't given me a bit of trouble. The use has been light; I'm just a hobbyist, ... morenot a professional user. So, why would I sell it? Well.it's a big scope, physically, and I just really don't have the room on my bench anymore. I originally purchased it not to be used an as oscilloscope, but to get a 7L14 spectrum analyser plugin for it and use it as an SA, but, well, that just didn't happen, as that's one pricey plugin! Up for auction we have a mini oscilloscope model DS203. I acquired this unit second hand and haven't done anything with it at all for months. I recently gave it a charge and fired it up and it just seems that the probes are a little flaky as they are either too tight or too loose when plugged into channels A and B. As you can see. I did get the appearance of a square wave to come up on the screen using its own wave out on channel A.I cannot get anything to happen on channel B. Basically this unit has two analog channels and 2 digital channels. It comes with two probes and a soft carry case that holds the oscilloscope.
