HMY Fly Tying Vise
This is a one owner. Slightly used, HMH fly tying vise. It turns out, my manual dexterity isn't that great. I figure I'll sell this vise and buy flies that actually look the way they're supposed to with the money. It is an HMH vise, and it either is, or is equivalent to, the Spartan on the HMH website. Essentially it's an entry level vise. I believe I paid $180 for it a couple of years ago from the Ted Fay Fly Shop in Dunsmuir. You are considering an antique butcher block workbench that was pulled from Ohio Amish country. This workbench was black with grease and grime. It was cleaned. And rubbed with wax. I could bring it to a high shine, but not all buyers want such. Now it is beautiful, solid and heavy. It is about 74" wide x 24" deep x 33" tall. The top and base are pegged together, and can be easily seperated. It has a small lap drawer with a lager drawer below it. It is a great size for a kitchen island, sofa table, server, TV console or wine bar. Take a look at the detail on the wood vise in picture#2. It was produced in Chicago based on the tag in picture#6. WILTON 9300 3" BULLET BENCH VISE VICE MADE IN USA
Hi! For bid I have a very nice USA made Wilton bullet vise. This is my own personal vise that I bought used many years ago. It is dated 6-71. I don't do much work in my shop anymore. So I am selling some of the tools I no longer use. This is just the way the vise came off of my work bench. It is NOT restored in any way. It operates nice and smooth and the jaws close tight and square. The screw is in excellent condition as well as the rest of the vise. There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs of any kind on this vise. I do believe it still has the original paint, but I can't guarantee this as I don't know for sure. You will have to be the judge from the pictures. I could have cleaned and painted it to make it look better, but I would rather leave that option to the new owner. The vise does have the usual dings from normal use, but ... moreas you can see, there are very few. I tried to show all the issues in the pictures. Big 5" wide jaws open up to 7" Weighing over 29 lbs, it has three bolt holes, pipe jaws, swivel base and anvil. 13" long and 6-3/4" high. Everything about it works great, has a new paint job, ready to go to work. Embossed 8-635L and 9-635L on one side at the jaws and NM on the other. Under the base is stamped 121052 over 4 and SF Color variances due to use of flash or natural light. Only'flaw' is the release handle for swivel is slightly bent but it works just fine. Wilton 643 1/2 Mechanics Bench Vise, Excellent Condition
Up for sale is a very nice looking Wilton 643 1/2 Mechanics light duty bench vise. The vise is in great physical condition but it needed some fresh paint so it was taken apart. Cleaned and repainted to look new. The jaw inserts are in good shape with some wear, mostly in one particular spot you can see in the pictures. The handles are straight with only the slightest bend on the lockdown handle. The anvil area was resurfaced to remove some of the lighter dents but others still remain. Its mostly complete with the exception of the pipe jaws inserts. They typically go missing on these and i don't have a spare set laying around to replace them. Vintage 1-3/4" Jeweler's miniature smooth-jaw restored vise gunsmith vice
Up for bids is an old 1-3/4" bench-mount(clamp) jeweler's vise which has been nicely restored and repaired. When I say repaired-nothing was done for repairs except for improving its function as a vise. The vise was completely disassembled before the poorly finished surface was massaged with a rol-loc disk to remove the extra flashing which was never taken off at the factory. Speaking of factory briefly-there are no makers marks on this vise-so I cannot adequately state where it was made or when. Back to the condition-after the flashing marks were cleaned up. The edges of the jaw teeth were trued to one another so they all matched before they were hand-filed and sanded. As you can see-the jaw teeth are smooth, not serrated so that whatever small instruments or jewelry you're working on will not be damaged. The jaws close nice ... moreand true-although there is admittedly slight play in these small vises from the factory which cannot be corrected without re-machining of the slide posts and receiver slots. Following cleanup of the jaws, the small hammer marks on top of the jaws and anvil surface were smoothed out and removed. Afterward the vise pieces were sandblasted before being etch primed and sprayed with metallic gold and clear coated. There is NO clearcoat on the bare metal parts as I hope this little piece will be used by a craftsman somewhere out there. Everything on this vise works very nicely and it looks to match its function and intention. If you have any questions, please ask. WILTON VISE 400S. 4" JAWS, NEW COPPER LINERS. EXCELLENT! Fellas. I'm going all out this week. This is a 8-80 Wilton Machinist 400S and its in excellent condition. I cleaned, painted and lubed it. Its ready to go on your bench. Despite one handle end knob having to be welded sometime back in the last 34 years, this vise is a looker. The jaws are original to this vise and in excellent condition. Operation is quiet and flawless. With this vise I've included a pair of HD copper liners. These are 6" liners cut down to 4" I believe these have 2 major advantages over OE copper liners. 1, the copper faces are twice as thick and can be resurfaced if needed and 2, the bigger liner offers much more protection to the jaw towers protecting them from the mighty hammer or hacksaw. 3.5" Wilton Bullet Bench Vise
You are bidding on a nice Wilton#835 bench vise. It has 3.5" jaws. Is approximately 14.5" long and weighs about 30lbs. give or take. This is a true clean survivor with the factory paint under the greenish colored varnish. You can even see what's left of the factory sticker which you rarely ever see. The vise opens and closes very nice. The handle is not bent, the vise has no cracks or previous weld repairs. It does have some MINOR scratches and gouges which is to be expected for a vise over 40 years old. It looks like the manufactured date is 6-69(see last pic) The only negative to the vise is that the dynamic jaw has been replaced at one time with one that obviously is not original. You can purchase new ones online. I will get this to you as soon as soon as is humanly possible.
