This Antique Wooden Box has Brass Hinges/ Latch The Handle is nice and sturdy. Some kind of very hard rubber with"Bruce 1" molded into it. Measures 7 1/2" Tall x 7 1/2" Wide and 5 1/2" Front to Back Box is extremely well made. Look at the lap joint and the corners/ edges, hinges are tight, built with old wood screws. Pre-owned 5" Sine Bar Enco Model 637-7550. I recently inherited a Kennedy 8 drawer machinist tool box with a bunch of tools. Gauges, calipers, etc. You can see them all on my ebay. I am not a machinist and I know absolutely nothing about these type of tools. The Kennedy Box is like new and all the tools were either in their boxes or wrapped. Precision inspection tools Here is a trio of high quality inspection tools. I got these out of a professional toolmakers chest from right here in the Motor City. 1) 5" Hardened and ground sine bar. 3/4" x 3/4" x 5" I checked parallelism and I got no more than plus.0001" Does have the creators name stamped on side. Nothing a carbide endmill could not remove. Has two tapped holes on one end for plate. 2) 1-2-3" blocks. Not sure of the maker but they appear high quality. They are hardened and ground and are the most common 3/8 through holes with 5 of them tapped. They are coated in cosmoline and wrapped in plastic wrap. I checked sizes with micrometers and they are right on sizewise. Did NOT clean off to check parallel but I assume they are very good. NO RUST. ABUSE or OWNER ENGRAVINGS. Sine Bar - Gauge Block, Machinist-Toolmaker Grind-Inspection Tool, 6-Inch
For auctio n is a machinist made sine bar or grind block. Item measures 1-3/8" x 2-3/8" x 6-1/16" Block is precision ground and is gun-blued to prevent rust. And has 38 tapped 1/4 x 20 holes. Included is an old Starrett box for storing the item. Item is in excellent condition. No grind marks from use. There are a couple of very minor rust spots where blueing has worn off; item is otherwise near perfect condition. Shipping will be a flat $6 in the US. International shipping via USPS 1st class mail.
