It turns at a low speed while dipping into a water bath to keep your tool cool. these provide a very keen edge, with no burning. The wheel spin direction is reversible, and there are two steady rests, one on each side, so you can set one up for a main bevel and the other up for the edge. you will not be disappointed. Up for auction is this Black& Decker 5" Bench Grinder. Cat No. 7901, Type 1. It features two grinding discs that spin at 3600 RPM on a 1/2" arbor. It runs at 120v 60 Hz at 2.2 amps(standard U.S. power) It is working great and has only been used a little bit. It runs smoothly. The right side wheel looks like new, and the left side looks lightly used. It includes the hardware shown. You'll likely want to add another screw and grommet or just use your own hardware. Because the included hardware is not a complete set of 4 fasteners.

Vintage Bench Grinder, Vintage Hand Crank Bench Grinder Vintage Tool Knife Cabin
This bench grinder was in my grandfathers work shop. It was in a drawer in one of his tool chests. The wheel does have two chips out of it. The photos show one of them. It will not effect its use. The grinder works well and turns easy. I am guessing it at least 50 years old or more due to the news paper I found it wrapped in. Still in great condition as you can see. Please look at the photos.
