51" X 39" X 2" Thick Cast Iron Surface Plate "Webbed" CNC MILLING TABLE /BASE
This auction is for a used 39" wide by 51" long by 2"+ thick"webbed"cast iron surface plate sold exactly as shown in these pictures It would make a good heavy duty base(or if your thinking really big and heavy duty. Even the X-Y table) for a custom CNC milling machine. Someone has asked how thick the top is between the webs; Overall thickness at edge is 2.164" at the corner where I cleaned off the rust in picture#4) the depth on the backside. Measured with straight edge between two webs is about 1-9/16" so thickness of top is about 1/2"+ to 9/16" + between the webs. It is rusty but solid without any cracks. Etc(it rings true like a bell) It has a rabbited outside edge around it's top face that is about 3/4" wide and near one tenth of an inch deep(see pics#3 and 4) I tried cleaning up a ... moresmall corner of the front face and once I removed the rust it showed very little pitting(see pic#4) Clean it up yourself and use it as is or have it blanchard ground to give it a"new" surface This cast iron surface plate is very heavy!
