This is a used Sheldon 10" lathe steady rest. It's been cleaned and repainted. All the parts move freely and all the hardware is original. The base is about 6" wide. The center bore is about 3-1/2" The part# is K575 on the bottom casting and K576 on the top. The bed clamp and bolt is missing but one could easily be made. Very well made and heavy. Good paint job(parts were disassembled and cleaned. No paint on machined surfaces) See the matching follower rest I have in another auction that came from the same lathe. Up for sale is a steady rest for a Harrison M250 lathe. Rebadged and sold as a Clausing 11" in the US in the 1980's through 1990's(if I remember right) I have two. And have never needed more than one. Need to clear out some space. Throat is just under 4" The three followers are brass. And are independantly adjustable. Very nice condition overall. It has seen very little use. On the backside, there is a fair amount of sticky residue from storage grease. I will clean that off before I ship. I actually have no idea what this is and am hoping someone will help me out. It looks like a steady rest. But? I am happy to answer any questions and the only markings I see are Made in Japan. Quality tool for sure. Comes with base, three tubes that obviously fit inside braces or steady. Lever on side slightly angles(tips up) the base and holders. Smallest tube measures 9/16" diameter, largest tube measures 1 5/8"and 11" long. Overall measures 8" tall, bar on tool is 134" long and about 4" wide at base. Some rust on three tubes. Offered here is a Steady Rest that came from a LeBlond Engine Lathe. I was told that it was from a 15" model lathe. But I did not see the steady rest mounted on the lathe so I am not sure of this. To help determine if this will fit your lathe, following are some basic dimensions. The opening in the bore is 5" The distance from the center of the Vee way to the inside of the Flat way is approximately 8" and from the flat way straight up to the center of the bore measures approximately 8-1/8" The rest is used and looks to be in generally good condition.

Monarch Lathe 14 Telescoping Steady Rest 16-1/2" 14"c AA WAA
I believe this is off a Monarch 14 series lathe with an actual swing of 16-1/2" I'm not for sure. So look at pictures and ask any questions, as what you see is what you get. From center of V to the center of flat is about 6-1/4" Center hole is about 4-3/4" Telescoping pins are 1" From flat to break is about 8-1/8" 1 knob has slight resistance during part of the revolution. It can still be turned in and out with 2 fingers. Bolt that anchors it bed may need to be replaced. It had enough good treads to clamp it tight to my South Bend 16" Bottom clamp hold down thing appears to be modified or rewelded. 1 area by knobs appears to have been broke and rebrazed. You will need to make or buy new brass inserts. I will include old ones. But there not worth putting back on. Pins may need to be removed and ground. As ... morethe ends my be mushroomed and not sink all the way into the casting. Needs paint job. Many dings in knobs. Please look closely at all pictures to judge condition. I tried to describe the best I could but may have missed something. May split item in 2 pieces for shipping.
