It was still in the Starrett bag when I opened it! I cant say it wasn't used because I'm not the original owner. I bought a box load of measuring equip and this is how I found this one! It didn't have a calibration sticker like the majority of the stuff in the box! The calipers are accurate but need the dial"homed" back to the top. May need a good oiling too. This is a used Starrett micrometer. Model no. 204. Made by the LS Starrett Co, Athol, Mass- Made in the USA. Such a gorgeous little tool! It comes in a red exterior hard case with foam lining.The case is dirty and worn. The micrometer i tsel f seems to be in great sha pe- so me very minor metal discoloration. But works smoothly. There is a spot in the case for what may be an adjustment tool or something. But it i s not here. Found this at an estate sale. And fell in love.
