Antique Wood Box Color Water Wheel Grist Mill Print under Glass on Lid Ornate 4 Layer Frame positive. Up for bid is this early 1900's wooden box.probably a men's jewelry or linen handkerchief box. Measures about 15" long x 12.5" wide and 2.5" deep. Deep enough to store jewelry. Linens, or desk supplies. The box is all wood with a heavy gilt gold painted cardboard backing. Backing is in less than perfect condition with a hole in the corner and white tacks where the backing was lifted, although the majority of the original tacks are still intact. The wood frame seems to consist of four layers of wood frames atop each other; three of the four frames are ornately carved and the fourth one is less fancy with just a ribbed effect on the flat surfaces. The top frame is the lid which houses a vintage color print of an old water ... morewheel grist mill. The autumn colors are remarkably clear bright for the age of the item; probably because the glass part of the frame is still intact and still sturdily attached to the frame. Upon opening the lid of the box you will find a very sturdy brass hinge holding up a very heavy lid. Remember the lid has a glass and wood framed picture on the cover.and the inside of the cover has another ornate wood frame around a mirror that is the full size of the lid. The mirror is in good vintage condition.mottled but not cracked. Broken, or peeling. The frame of the base is gold gilt painted wood and the bottom is the fore mentioned heavy duty gilt colored cardboard. The base is in the least good condition with a hole in the upper left hand corner of the base as mentioned with some stains that can be seen in the photo. This is a very old wooden storage and display box in remarkably good condition for its age. The box is quite heavy. 4 pounds before packaging. This malt mill has been used about a half dozen times. Preset Maltmill has a fixed 0.045" gap between the rollers. Gives an excellent crush with no fuss. Two 10 inch textured cold-rolled steel rollers. When cranked by hand. Throughput is about one pound of grain in 15 seconds. Hopper capacity is approximately three pounds. Mills are mounted on a wood base that can rest on a bucket(or kettle or picnic cooler) or be clamped or bolted to a work table. The crushing surface is 10" long and 1.5" in diameter. The MALTMILL is an authentic roller mill that makes it possible for homebrewers to turn out textbook quality milled grain. It crushes the malt. Leaving the husk intact while producing a minimum of flour. Not one grain can get through without being properly milled. It does exactly what a malt mill is supposed to do. Anyone who ... moreuses whole grains quickly realizes that makeshift grinders and food processors are all but totally unsuited for milling malt. They create vast amounts of flour that make clear beer virtually impossible. They leave large amounts of grain untouched or merely broken. They pulverize or shred the husks. Which severely limits the quality of the filter bed when sparging. They are only used because, until now, nothing else has been available that fits the budget of even the affluent home brewer. The MALTMILL will process a pound of grain in less than 15 seconds and enough for a five gallon batch in under five minutes with the hand crank. When motorized. It can crush at a rate in excess of 1000 lbs per hour. At 400 RPM, it takes 3.3 seconds to crush one pound. It is designed to sit on top of a bucket or mash tun so that the milled product falls in and any dust created is contained. It can also be bolted or clamped to a work table for more stable or permanent operation. The MALTMILL is provided with a nominal spacing of.045" between the rollers. Vintage Antique Edgefield Pottery Miles Mill Two Gallon Storage Jar
You are bidding on a Vintage Edgefield Pottery Miles Mill 2 gallon storage jar. The Milles Mill local piece is very identifiable from the nearly closed end 2 marking on the storage jar. It also appears to have a slash mark above the handle. This is a solid piece. No cracks in the piece. On the underneath side of the handles there are a small chip on each handle. You can barely see the small chip on one handle from the outside view. The other is not noticeable from out side view. This piece of Edgefield local history displays well on any shelf. The jar measures 13.5 inches high and 26 inches round at widest point. This Storage Jar has a nice shine to it. Shipping can be waived if picked up locally. No Reserve.

Cobalt decorated Georgia Pottery by Charlie Kline Howells Mill GA 1885
This is a rare and beautiful example of pottery as made in Jugtown Georgia in the late 19th century. It is a well fired. Glossy salt glazed churn made by Charles S Kline after he opened his shop at Howells Mills GA in 1883. By 1900 he was working in Atlanta, so we can date this piece between 1883 and 1900.Charlie trained at his father's pottery shop in Ohio, and he brought the midwestern tradition of decorating in cobalt designs with him to Georgia. Most of his work is skilfully thrown albany slip and salt glaze jugs, but he occasionally decorated his salt glazed jars and churns with one of two decorative themes,1) swags and flourishes, or, 2) a fruit or flower theme as you see here. Plainville. Kansas Souvenir China Mug Up for your consideration is a great Souvenir Mug. This piece was imported from Germany. The piece is 2 3/4" high by 2 1/4" across the rim. The piece is for the"Plainville Mill and Elevator" in Plainville. Kansas. It is cobalt blue with the color decal. The cobalt pieces show white lint from the cleaning rag I was using. We recently acquired a collection of scratch-built HO scale buildings. They are all made of basswood panels. With scribed siding details as appropriate. Some parts may actually be balsa wood. Many of the details are commercial castings or laser-cut rails and fences. Roof details abound. Some have dozens of figures, tables, stoves, bars, chairs, mirrors, and signs. They were all removed from an operating layout, and some of the details have suffered from handling. Wherever possible. Such defects will be noted, but not everything will be mentioned– please look carefully at the photos! All the buildings would be appropriate for a late 19th century or early 20th century layout. My husband. In fact, will be using a few of them on his modern layout to depict a Western-theme tourist town. Such as Virginia City, Nevada, or Jamestown, California. ... moreHere is a medium-sized two-story saloon called“ The Old Mill. There are a dozen sitting and standing figures in the downstairs bar portion. And a man and woman outside on the upper balcony. The walls are simulated tongue-and-groove siding. The base is narrow planks, and it has a tar-paper roof with smoke-jack and ventilator details. The front entrance is a double café door. Painted red, and the rear exit door, which is loose, and the windows are metal castings. There are tables. Benches, chairs, a bar, and a back bar with mirror in the bar portion. And a clock on the wall along with various posters and signs! All the windows are un-glazed. The floor is planks over joists. And there are barrel, crate, and balcony railing details attached to the outside. The interior details make this an interesting little saloon that every western town needs. The base is roughly rectangular. Measuring 3 1/2 in by 4 inches. The building itself is 2 ½ inches by 3 3/8 inches. And is 6 inches tall over the roof details. The upper story is not attached so the interior details are readily visible. But it can be easily re-attached. One section of the balcony railing is missing. The whole thing

Original MID CENTURY OIL/RAIN LAMP Old GRIST MILL (Hanging/SWAG Lamp & CHAIN)
I have shown a lot of photos so please take time to view them. Hopefully they will help along with the description of the lamp.This was my Mom's OLD Lamp and I found it stored in back of the closet after all these years.It Worked before it was stored, but I guess from being stored for so many years.it has totally dried out(which is normal) and I did plug it up and I didn't have another light bulb so this one does NOT work and I didn't hear any kind of"gurgling" or any motion whatsoever.so it did NOT work when I plugged it in and I didn't go buy any oil to try it out.so I am selling this"AS IS" and hopefully it will work, but at this time I cannot guarantee it to work.It is extremely DIRTY and will need a major cleaning.all the"strands" are on the lamp, none of those are missing.and up inside the ... moretop around the light bulb it still has the paper label explaining how much oil to use in the lamp and the wattage which is: 120V.60HZ.1.0 AMP.The label has the name: CREATORS, INC. CHICAGO, IL.The lamp is all original, even has the same green plastic foliage that it had when first purchased.This is from 1970's and measures appx. 32" high(tall)11" Across.Has Original 14 foot Chain with switch on the electric cord.the Chain needs a through cleaning as well.As you can see from the photos the top of lamp has some discoloring, I don't know if this can be polished out and make it look new again or not.I only wiped this with a damp cloth to get some of the dust off.It has the LOOK of Brass, so maybe some kind of Brass cleaner could make this shine.The Oil runs down the"Strands" of filament giving this a"raining" effect.uses Mineral Oil, which is NOT included(I think the Mineral Oil c
