Aloris CX Tool Post, needs a little attention
A local company is in the process of re-locating its machine shop facility. In doing so. The maintenance shop is being liquidated along with any surplus tools and accessories from the machine shop. As the pieces are released for disposition they will be listed for sale. I will do my best to describe the items accurately but sale is final so please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Offered here is an Aloris CX Tool Post. This came from the maintenance shop and was probably slated for reconditioning. The clamping mechanism and piston clamps both seem to function as they should. By my inspection a new actuating handle is needed and the top lock nut needs to be freed up(it was probably tightened to the end of the threaded section and needs to be backed off) I am not 100% certain of this. Aloris BXA-16 indexable turning and facing holder - Rt side damaged -No reserve!
Exact item shown- Aloris BXA-16(one of my favorite holders) I bought this via eBay a few years back. And I didn't notice the damaged right side in the photos- it was"restored" by being pounded straight. I discovered it when I started to use the tool and the insert would move and destroy the work- so I have been using it as a left(facing) cutter only- but it annoys me every time I use it so I bought a nice new one as a gift to myself and am now selling this one. There are some services that will repair a damaged pocket, I have not tried them. You get exactly what you see, at less than 1/4 of new if you use the buy it now option. Aloris CXA Quick Change Tool Post, Wedge Type Clamp: Needs some Attention
Offered here is an Aloris CXA Quick Change Tool Post. This tool post has the wedge type tool clamp. But the top portion of both wedges have been broken. I don't know how this happened, but but the wedges do adjust up and down on the slide. The tool post could probably be used as it is but the ideal thing would be to purchase a pair of wedges from Aloris and fix the tool post correctly. With a little time and effort you should have a nice original Aloris brand tool post at a reasonable cost.
