Up for sale is a very rare Aloris CAV work holding vise. This was a specially made fixture that is hardened& ground all over. Total length is 6" not including backstop& protruding locking& micrometer adjusting screw. Width is 3 1/2" jaw depth is 1 15/16 with 3 verticle V's& 1 horizontal V all ground in. Overall height is 3 7/8 micrometer adjusting screw is graduated in.001 increments. Bottom dovetail measures 1.630 over 3/8 pins. Depth is.490. Again. This was especially built for a particular purpose, possibly E.D.M. or any other machining application. Can also be used as a regular milling vise, as it has 2 clamping cut outs. You can see by the overall workmanship that it had to be a very expensive tool when it was built.

A couple of the toolholders have scuff marks on them and the knurling toolholder has been ground for clearance. It does not effect its use at all.
