1954 Martin D-28 Guitar,Braz,Ex Cond,**A Very Fine Sounding/Playing Instrument**
For sale is my 1954 Martin D-28(SN 135XXX) I have owned this instrument for 33 years and am the second owner. I have taken meticulous care of this instrument and there are no structural issues or needed repairs. As with all of my collection. This guitar has been kept in a temperatue/humidity controled room.The action at the 12th fret is 3/32" on the 1st string and just above 3/32" on the 6th string. The intonation is perfect up and down the fingerboard. During my ownership the neck was reset and refretted in 1997. In 2006 the bridge was replaced with a period correct ebony bridge as well as custom carved fossil ivory saddle, nut, bridge and end pins were also done. All work was performed by authorized Martin service center. Prior to my ownership, a small crack just to the inside of a section of binding(pictured) was repaired on ... morethe top, bass side, lower bout which is rock solid. At the same time some overspray was applied to the top, back and sides. The finish is in good shape with some normal age checking. There are some nicks, scrapes and stains(pictured) on the body and neck, all normal to this age instrument. The 1950's bluegrass style"bat wing" pickguard, according to the original owner, was from the Martin Custom Shop and was installed at the same time as the above mentioned repair. There is some edge lift(pictured) which has been stable for the past 20 years with no associated cracks or damage. This D-28 is a very fine sounding/playing instrument. The Original Hard Shell Martin Case(pictured) is included. I am selling this instrument as I am downsizing my collection. I have sold several high end instruments over the past few years on ebay with very positive results. I encourage you to look at my feedback and get an idea of what I've sold. This is a Yamaha i88X firewire interface. It has 2 DM-2000 derived mic preamps that sound amazing. This unit is an incredible deal because you can't touch preamps of this quality for less than $500 each and with this unit you get two! This can be used with Windows XP and Mac Leopard. But there is no support for any other operating systems. I have heard of people using it with Windows 7 32-bit, Vista, and Snow Leopard, but that may require some tweaking. The predecessor of the current MG3.7 is still one of the best sounding speakers for under $5.000. The weakness of planar speakers have always been the deep end which is why if you want a pair of planar speakers to deliver deep bass, it has to go big. And the MG3.5 is big- 6 feet tall, 2 feet wide and 1.5' deep(not counting the feet) This, in our opinion is the perfect size. The strength of planar speakers, their midrange and smooth highs are now substantiated with deep bass. Depth and width of the soundstage is huge and when listening to vocals, imaging is holographic and has a nice weighty musical presence. Smaller models like the 1.6 or 1.7 and even the MMG all have very good midrange bass but can sound a little weak on the deep end. With the MG3.5, it possess the same magical sound but on a larger scale with a nice rounded deep end. ... moreNo cone based drivers can replicate the same magical sound as planar speakers. And in the under $5000 speaker category, these speakers have the best sounding mid-range that other speakers can only lust for. Color combination of dark cherry wood panels with black socks are the nicest looking and will easily fit in any home decor. These speakers would need a medium to large room and fairly high powered amp(75W and up) to sound its best. Speakers have some slight scuff marks on the frame but nothing major and socks are in perfect condition. They will be shipped in brand new boxes that were ordered from Magnepan. Up for auction is a vintage. Early 60's Teisco electric guitar pickup. This is the first of two of these that I am selling. It was removed from a working guitar and measures the correct 5.27k ohm on my meter. I have had a lot of Teisco's and these pickups are some of the best. Very similar in sound to the fabled gold foil. I actually prefer the way these look, kind of like a silver P-90. These vintage Japanese pickups just scream! Hello This auction is for a Korg M3R rack synthesizer Please read item condition and functionality below. Cosmetic condition: This M3R has a large amount of oxidation largely on the back and underside. Viewing the photos will allow you to see the extent of it's cosmetic condition. It's not uncommon at all to find this type of oxidation on these units due to the unfinished metal exterior. Upon inspection we found that the rack enclosure had protected the inside from being effected; it's board and internal components are in good condition. It has some scratches. Scuffs, and rack wear as well. Also, the buttons are somewhat discolored a green/greyish color. Functionality: The buttons were designed to scroll fast when held down: well the buttons will occasionally skip that way unintentionally. It's really not altogether too bad. ... moreAnd the buttons can still go patch by patch for the most part. Allowing the user to select the intended patch or setting seemingly without too much difficulty. It doesn't skip while being played or without the buttons being pressed. Apart from that issue. What we have here is a rare and original vintage Park Marshall model 2548 master volume 100 watt head. Circuit is original with a fresh new matched set of JJ EL34 power tubes installed and biased. This Park is in very good shape and is complete with original vinyl. Handle, offset rear panel, and except for the piping that goes across the front(hardly noticeable) is complete.piping is easily replaced! This Park is very similar to a Marshall JMP of the same year only much much rarer! It sounds fantastic! For every Park there were hundreds and thousands of Marshall's built! Serial number 451! A little info; Park was a division of Marshall amplifiers. In 1965 Jim Marshall unhappy with the distribution arrangement with Rose Morris. Beautiful, powerful, great sounding stereo receiver, the Kenwood Model Nine G. Dating back to 1978, the Model Nine G is a beautiful example of analog sound equipment from the Golden Age of stereo. Great build quality that results in durability; great sound quality and beautiful design, this is how a receiver from this era should look and sound. The Model Nine G being auctioned here is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. Just prior to preparing this listing. I tested all basic functions, inputs and outputs to confirm my belief that all were operating as they should- and ... moreall do. All controls operate as they should, smoothly and quietly with no scratchiness. All lights and meters work as they should(several function indicator lights were replaced) as does the timer, a rather unusual feature to be found on a receiver. The sound quality this receiver produces is gorgeous. Full, balanced and warm- just what you'd expect from a high quality, high power vintage receiver. Left and right channels are well balanced. This receiver has been thoroughly cleaned. Inside and out, and it shows few signs of use or wear. The silver front panel is in virtually perfect condition, and has no visible cosmetic defects. When I acquired this receiver, the walnut veneered cabinet was in rather unsightly condition. Since the rest of the unit was in such good condition, I refinished the cabinet to return it to as close to original condition as was possible. The result of this effort was the elimination of the vast majority of the defects. BIG MUFF FUZZ PEDAL 1974 "WHITE CAN" "680" INCREDIBLY ANGRY SOUNDING RAM'S HEAD
This one is very hard to let go. It's a well documented yet rare"White Can" 1974 Ram's Head Big Muff. If most muffs hover somewhere between fuzz and distortion. This is full on FUZZ. Thick, angry and wicked. It's an incredible sound. One that many albums could be made with. It is all original with the one standard exception of the battery snap. In very clean condition. I would almost give it a 10 if not for the light scratching on the faceplate. It is light scratches, not deep into the clearcoat, just surface. This is loaded with the holy grail Fairchild FS36999 Transistors. The ones to have, and when you hear what those can do in this higher gained Big Muff, it is scary. This pedal will go into reverse fuzz, an act few Big Muffs even attain. Let me explain. As you are dialing up the sustain you go from a high gain fuzztortion ... moreat the low setting. Eminently usable rhythm sounds. Then you enter into full on blowing up and expansive fuzz territory. Then, at the top of the dial, you enter into over the top gain and fuzz on fuzz violence- as you pick notes they swell in, like a reverse moment, it's raw exploding gain from 36999's! Mindblowing stuff and a sonic palette that few even get to access. The tone knob is also killer on this one. Usable around the dial. Not just in one spot. Thick but not dead dark on one end and aggressive but not icepick on the other end. If you are looking for a modern sounding vintage fuzz. All the transformers look to be original and according to the transformer code this amp looks to be a 1976 Fender Princeton Reverb This amp does not have the push/ pull volume knob boost. The faceplate is very clean. Very easy to carry and take with you when playing out or traveling It has that original Sweet sounding Fender Vintage tone. With that great sounding Fender Reverb. And after some digging, we are still none the wiser to it's origin. It has a set of 4 6L6 output valves. A pair of 6N1 valves and a pair of 6E2'magic eye' power level indicators. It sounds great. With real warmth and character, and cosmetically, apart from a few light scratches on the casework, it's not too bad. It has three terroidal transformers. Vintage Banjo and case . Very nice sounding open back old Banjo. Comes in case
Ok. I believe this is the last string instrument I will be selling for my father. And I know as much about Banjos as I did the 2 Mandolins and the Bazouki I sold for him. This is a very nice Vintage Banjo that's been in a corner of his living room for years. From what I've been able to uncover this is an open back 5 string model. It doesn't have a name on it like all the old string instruments he has given me. He did tell me that the case alone is worth around $75. So as per his request I'm going to start at $150. From others I've looked up this seems low. If you can shed any light as to how old or who made it please be so kind as to share it with me. Measures approximately 36 inches long from end to end. Great Sounding Sonor 5 x 14 Bop Jazz Snare Drum for Set Excellent Condition
Thanks for looking. This is a Sonor Bop/Jazz hardwood shell snare drum in great condition. At 5 x 14 this snare can tune up for jazz or down for blues and rock and packs quite a punch. I took it from air conditioning to a steamy outside July afternoon to get a more accurate color of the red sparkle. So the chrome looks a little foggy but it's in shiny, like new condition, and what looks like rust on the bottom rim of the first picture is merely a reflection of yellow flowers on my porch! The resonant Remo bottom head has a slight bubble in it, totally minor and doesn't affect anything. Sonor is a world class drum company and this is a professional snare that can be taken to gigs. Fender BassMan Ten-vintage tube bass amp,1970's,great sounding,nice shape
all-original Fender Bassman ten vintage tube bass amp- the amp has standard wear and some tear on the back bottom. one small hole in the grillcloth at the bottom. everything works and it sounds great. some lightn crackling only when turning some knobs but some playing time may take care of that. With a little spray. the amp weighs about 75 pounds, and luckily this one is on wheels so it is easy to move around. the tube schematic is fully intact inside. 4 10" speakers. i am offering free local pickup only at this time.
