Depth is given in fathoms. The instrument is then retrieved, and the depth is read via the position of the sleeve which is fitted on the piston rod. It is then easily reset for its next use. CONDITION: In very good"as-found" condition. And offered untested, as we have no idea whether it works. Physical condition is very good, with no dents or dings of note. Martin D35 vintage 1975. Great sounding guitar with pickup!!!!! D-35
Here is a wonderful sounding D35 from 1975. One of the best I have heard. I recently had it given a checkup/setup from one of the nations top Martin repairman and he also confirmed it as being a special guitar for its wonderful tone! This has solid 3 piece rosewood back and sides. With a solid spruce top. The neck is mahogany with an ebony fretboard. The frets are in good shape with a lot of life left, the action has just been setup and is great, the tuners work perfectly and the binding is all in tact and looking great. It comes with an aftermarket under saddle pickup which sounds fabulous and there have been no holes put in the guitar for a preamp leaving it in original condition and reversible if ever desired. This has a bone saddle which contributes to the fabulous tone and also comes in its original case. The pickguard has raised a bit and created a few hairlines in the wood where it raised. But this is also common amongst the 70's Martins and is structurally and sonically nothing to worry about. It is GREAT for the novice or beginner or those more accomplished who may wish to have something to practice on either quietly or amped or for a hundred other reasons big and small. the point is. You cant BANG the heck out of them and i learned that. i had to modify a few of the mounting brackets with some extra screws or some washers to reinforce weak points. to that degree. The few fixes i had to perform all worked flawlessly and to this day. This set works EXCELLENTLY! the stand is in EXCELLENT shape with no ... morebroken or missing pieces or parts. no pads/triggers are excessively worn or broken! all pads/triggers work perfectly. screws and some hardware have light rust which can be easily dremmel'd off. humidity can do that. it was not in the rain! i take great care of all my gear and this kit was taken care of. i upgraded it a little while back with 2 more pads. the original books are included as well as original oem power supply and all connecting cables for pads/ triggers/ foot switches. i will take pictures of the stand as i take it apart to give you an idea how it goes together which is easy with a few basic tools. just dont use heavy sticks! if you are looking for an entry level kit to get the feel of using electronic drums or learning to play drums. GERMAN 1920'S CELLO KING MODEL IMPORTED BY H.N. WHITE CO. WARM SOUNDING!
In the early 1960's when I began cello study. We didn't have enough money to buy a handmade cello so I started out on a borrowed Kay plywood cello that was from the same period as the King cello I am offering here, 1920's or possibly 30's. Although this King is a nicer cello and better sounding. It is worth mentioning that Kay's plywood basses from the'40s and'50s now fetch $3,500 or more. Plywood? Yes, really! If you have played on better older plywood instruments. You know they can have tonal aspects of a fine instrument, but also limitations since after all plywood isn't as flexible as fully carved. Sometimes you get one that makes you wonder how plywood can sound and feel so good. I believe that this King cello by the H. N. White company is one if those. It has a warm and clean tone that new carved cellos ... morewon't have for years. If you like a mellow tone, this will appeal to you. H.N. White became Cleveland Instruments and the King model continued to be their flagship item through recent years. Cellos are rare from White and this may be collectable. I I have seen some of their German volin imports and they are generally solidly built and long lasting. Drawbacks: 1. Like my old Kay cello this King has some sinkage on the c string(bass side) of the top. Visible in the photos, likely caused by exposure to excessive heat and/or humidity at some time in the past. I've owned it for 15 years using it as a spare in my string teaching studio and seen no changes for the worse. It's stabilized and won't need any babying. The previous owner had a bridge carved higher on that side to even out the dimensions and it suffices. You may want to seek out ways to remove the small dip if you believe this cello is worth the time and expense. 2. Like my old Kay. The laminated top has varnish checks(tiny lines on the surface) that are only superficial, cosmetic flaws. The top is rock solid, and the lines are cool looking to me, and add character. Kohler Digital KD60 Ebony P ol ish For those of you who have been watching our recent KD150 auction's but stayed on the sidelines either because the price got to be too high. Or maybe just didn't have the space for such an instrument, we are happy to offer you an alternative; the Kohler Digital KD60. This instrument shares the same exact components as the KD150, but is in a tradition console type cabinet. The cabinet quality of this instrument is of the same caliber as the KD150. In my personal opinion, the KD60 actually sounds a little better. This probably due to the fact that the main speakers fire"outwards" towards to player) as opposed to"up) and then bouncing off the lid of the piano. Please keep in mind this is not some Casio or other Walmart/Coctco/Best Buy or guitar center type instrument. This is a piano that you most likely will not find any other place than a piano that is sold in an actual piano dealer. Read below for details. First of all, these instruments were manufactured some time ago(I believe the last one made was around 2007) which may be both good and bad. First the good. The piano was made during a period of time when manufacturers were basically trying to out do each other on features, and quality, whereas today, most digital piano manufacturers, with a few exceptions, seem to be more interested in chasing price points, meaning features and quality are usually a bit lacking. This piano is the perfect example of such a phenom as you will see. First of all. Let's start with the electronics of this item. Although the brand on the instrument is"Kohler" the electronics(with exception of amplification) were designed by Korg, Japan. How many of these have you ever seen? I was told this came off a ship from WW2. I have tried doing some reasearch on these and have not been lucky enough to find much info. From what I understand. This was like a toolbox for the echo sounding equipment with all kinds of backup parts. Lots of tubes, transistors, etc. all in its original case. Dated 1943. A very heavy piece that weighs over 30lbs. Please see the pictures. Lots more stuff than what is shown. I would say at least 90% of the boxes have something in them.
