There are three tiny bites along the top edge border of basket, but there is varnish over the nicks, so they might have been caused during the carving process. We ship international and combine.

Lovely green Bakelite needle holder with thimble and thread
You are bidding on this lovely green Bakelite needle holder with thimble and thread. The needle holder is lovely sea foam green with a black stripe around the middle etched with a leaf design. The black stripe is repeated on the holder and on the thimble which tops the case. The thimble screws off revealing a cylinder with black and white thread hidden inside. Unscrew the top of the cylinder and behold. Yet another surprise, a cash of needles hidden inside. It is very clever and complete right down to its original tassel on the bottom. This is a very old& interesting 3 5/8" tall German sewing kit with what I think is a needle holder on the side. All the writing is in German& what I can translate is Mit Gött Für König- With God for King. And u. Vaterland which is Fatherland. When you unscrew the top you'll see the thread holder. It has some chips to the wood. The tailor's thimble sits on top. Take off the thimble& pull off the top of the wood piece to reveal a spot for needles. At this point I'm wondering what that metal part on the side is for. At the bottom it says"Hier langsam abschrauben" which means something like unscrew slowly here. This auction features a neat little LINCO OIL Company advertising that also has a set of sewing needles inside. It is made of heavy cardstock and opens like a book to reveal the needles. The needles are"Queen Royal Silver Eyd Sharps" made in Germany. I think this piece is likely from the 1920's or so. The holder is supposed to represent a 5 gallon Linco Oil can. Antique Silver Needle Holder Chatelaine Ornate Carnelian You are bidding on an Antique silver sewing needle holder that I will presume used to hang from a ladies chatelaine necklace or work belt along with all her other sewing tools. It is a great piece to add to your sewing collection or to convert and wear as a spectacular pendent hanging from a silver chain. This piece is very ornate and in pretty good condition for its age. It appears the top piece used to be cloisonné but unfortunately most of the enamel has not made the test of time. I believe this piece was handmade and decorated with an Asian motif. With just a little rubbing with a jewelers cloth it shines up like it is silver even though I cannot find any marks. The chain runs through the vessel and attaches to a tube that holds the needles. Antique Wood Figural Black Forest Bear holding metal Gramophone Needle Holder
This rare Black Forest Bear is holding a metal. Possibly copper bowl in his paws. This was originally used for gramophone needles. This would have been made around the early 1900's or perhaps earlier. The bear measures 2 3/4" high and 4" long and 2.3" wide. The gramophone needle holder measures just over 1" high and 1 3/4" accross. This item is in very good condition. There are no chips. No cracks and no repairs. Antique carved needle holder with a unique style magnifying glass. Condition is two prongs on crown area are off. Minor. And end tip is chipped off. With luck jagged piece could be snipped off so it is altogether unnoticeable. See photos for condition. This needle holder is intricately carved with 4 distinct sections separated by bands.
