Antique No. 30 Economy Food Sausage Chopper Meat Grinder, 3 Plates Mountable
I'm pleased to offer this old large"Economy" meat grinder or food chopper. Marked Size 30. Made of cast iron and dating to the early 1900s. It is about 10-1/2" long. Comes with 3 grinding plates: 1-1/2" slotted, 5/16" round, and 1/4" round No separate knife because it is integrated into the housing. The alignment pins are slotted. The grip is wood and unpainted. There is some surface rusting. I gave it a quick wash then dried it in the oven so it wouldn't rust further. But did not oil it. I didn't want it to be a smudgy mess during shipping, but a good coat of oil and then some USE would make this right as rain! The bad is the handle is missing as well as the blade, and packaged weight is just over 10 lbs of IRON, lol. What's fabulous? There are 8 plates that go with this. Overall length is 10" and is made of cast iron. This model was manufactured in 1901 in New Britain Connecticut. Patent# PAT.MCH.4.02. This model has a unique Barrel clamp when opened allows the unit to separate into 2 halves. The hand crank has the original wooden handle on the cranking handle and is free from defects.
