Up for offer a NATIONAL SPECIALTY M FG. CO. SAUSAGE STUFFER. Made in Phill. Pa. U.S.A. Patt date of Sep 14, 1879. Also has screen insert for pressing fruits for wine. Was used for pressing lard in the old da ys. This Cast Iron Press is in great shape there are no scratches. Dents, or repairs, looks to be the original handle, I did some cleaning on it and sprayed it with cooking spray to keep from any more rust, there is a bit of surface rust on the inside. With a bit of elbow grea se will look like new. Most of the Paint is missing looks like this was a worker in it s time. The Gears move easy and the whole thing opens with a little pressure. This is heavy. Weighs in at 46 pound. Was picked at Estate Auction with a lot of nicely kept items. Will ma k e a great addition to an y collection. Thanks for looking and Good Luck! Excellent Original Sausage Stuffer with Great Art 8 Qt No 35 Enterprise This is a very beautiful Sausage Stuffer with nice original art. I have not seen this flower pattern in a long time. You don't want to miss it. Different than most. It has been thoroughly cleaned, including the shaft with a wire wheel, the feet were rusted have been repainted. The external has all been clear coated to prevent corrosion and enhance beauty. The inside has a bees wax applied to it and has most of the original paint. The shaft has been completely cleaned with a wire wheel, not bead blasted and has been coated in a thin beeswax as well. This machine is beautiful and works smoothly and brings a nice homey charm. I prefer this to the ones that are completely refinished, plus you can't reproduce this art. The screen has been polished and the strainer ... moreplate is in pretty good condition. I do not have a small plate for it, these you can get for about 30.00 all day long on ebay. The threads that hold the plate on are in very good condition and not sloppy or stripped as is sometimes the case. The brass ring on the handle has a split in it. This is not important.
