Vintage Chop-Rite Deluxe Cast Iron Sausage Meat Press Enterprise Stuffer Grinder
Exactly like Grandma used to use. Made in the USA and of cast iron. It can be the new family heirloom for generations to come. This unit holds 8 liquid quarts which equates to approximately 16 pounds of meat. Unit quickly disassembles for easy cleaning and comes with a single 3/4" plastic spout(hog casings) but other spouts are available below. The Standard model is primarily for stuffing sausage, whereas the Deluxe model doubles as a fruit and lard press and comes additionally with a stainless steel strainer basket, smaller plunger plate& a perforated plate: Possibly the oldest name in USA-made sausage stuffers and grinders would be Enterprise Manufacturing. Now known as Chop-Rite. There are still Enterprise stuffers and grinders in use today, some over 100 years old! They are built to last and are made of cast iron and other quality ... morematerials from the original designs. Bought in the mid-1900's, the Enterprise Manufacturing company was renamed to Chop-Rite Mfg. Using the same design as the original Enterprise stuffers and grinders, parts are interchangeable with the older equipment. This Chop-Rite is used and shows signs of wear. But it is still in overall excellent condition, especially considering its age. The only things of consequence to mention are that there is a little rust on different components of the unit. Everything I know to remove rust shouldn’t be used on food preparation items, so I haven’t cleaned it off. I would recommend you plan to thoroughly clean this item prior to use, just like you should with all food preparation items. This unit sells for $600, if you can even find them anymore. Up for auction is an antique 4 quart Enterprise sausage stuffer/ fruit press in very good condition. It comes with all the parts shown in the pics. It has been sand blasted. Primed and painted satin black with gold lettering. It has 2 patent dates of 1876 and 1883. There are no breaks or repairs anywhere on the cast iron. The wood handle has been cracked and repaired with epoxy and seems solid. The crank turns freely with no issues and the gears are in good shape. The inside was sand blasted but not painted.

Excellent Original Sausage Stuffer with Great Art 8 Qt No 35 Enterprise This is a very beautiful Sausage Stuffer with nice original art. I have not seen this flower pattern in a long time. You don't want to miss it. Different than most. It has been thoroughly cleaned, including the shaft with a wire wheel, the feet were rusted have been repainted. The external has all been clear coated to prevent corrosion and enhance beauty. The inside has a bees wax applied to it and has most of the original paint. The shaft has been completely cleaned with a wire wheel, not bead blasted and has been coated in a thin beeswax as well. This machine is beautiful and works smoothly and brings a nice homey charm. I prefer this to the ones that are completely refinished, plus you can't reproduce this art. The screen has been polished and the strainer ... moreplate is in pretty good condition. I do not have a small plate for it, these you can get for about 30.00 all day long on ebay. We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure an antique sausage. Lard and fruit press. On one side at the top in embossing it has SIMMONS HDWE. CO. INC. ST. LOUIS. U.S.A. This is a company that made Keen Kutter Products. On the other side in the same area it has PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1897. The item is in good useable condition. It has been treated with PAM cooking oil as a preservative. The press comes with both plates, the small and large. The small plate is used when pressing fruit. The main barrel body has the lift out screen and also the bottom cast iron vented hole plate. The large plate is for pressing sausage or lard. When you crank the hand operated handle the gear mechanism presses the plate down into the barrel or when you reverse the handle cranking it brings the plate up to the top. There is a lever to unlatch the bottom part on ... morethe right side for access into the barrel. There is a metal tube which attaches to the bottom part of the press for use in stuffing a sausage tube. This tube has a small ½” circular dent. The press is in good condition with some of the original gold pin stripping. There are 2 old repairs done in brass rod welding which is the proper way to repair cast iron. We have photoed those areas. There are 4 legs that could be screwed down to a board or table top if so desired. With everything turned down into the main body it stands 17 ¾” high by 9 ½” wide not counting the handle. It weighs 31 ½ lbs. and is a 4 quart size. Vintage/Antique Hale’s Genuine Russell & Erwin Heavy Cast Iron Sausage Stuffer
You are bidding on one lot of one seemingly very old sausage stuffer or maybe grinder. There are two tags on the top. One says Hale’s Genuine with a logo underneath. And the other says Made By Russell& Erwin New Britain, Conn. USA. This is not a particularly large machine, measuring about 8” long not including the handle and spout, about 5.5” across, and about 4” high, but it is incredibly heavy for its size, due in part to the cast iron body and very large steel jaws inside. It has four feet to mount to the workspace, a long detachable handle, a closing clasp, and a spout for your sausage casing. I have not made sausage with this but the handle and grinding wheels turn freely. And it opens and closes fine. OF NOTE is that it has a serious coating of either decades old animal fat. Or grease, or combination, or something similar and is ... morevery dirty/grimy. The silver lining is that this coating has kept it pretty much rust free but it needs a solvent or similar. I was able to get some of it off by scrubbing with dishwashing liquid, but it needs something stronger I think. The handle will be removed for shipping. Overall a neat old kitchen appliance in good working condition that I have not seen before. Please email me with any questions prior to bidding. Patented Sep. 14, 1897 embossed on it. It has the plate marked small along with the fruit press plate and the strainer. It is missing the spout and nut. Antique Cast Iron National 4Qt Sausage Stuffer lard wine fruit cider press c1897
I have up for sale wonderful antique patent dated 1897 National Specialty Mfg Co 4 quart Cast Iron Sausage stuffer/ wine press. It comes with both the small and large press plates. The strainer plate and basket, spout horn and holder. There is one additional part that I have not seen before, its some sort of fastening device but I am not sure how it was intended to be used. Firstly the stuffer is in Outstanding Original Condition! There are no damages: no breaks. No cracks, no repaints, the stencil and paint is original and in great shape, the only wear to the paint to speak of is located on the lower front of the tub near and around the tub's hole. The stuffer cranks easily and smoothly as well. You may need to clean the interior of the tub prior to use. This is a very easy stuffer to clean because the tub removes so easily. Much easier ... morethan an Enterprise. I am not sure what the function of the latch has, it does not hold anything from moving so I do not understand what its intended usefulness is. I have an up close view shown in one of my pics. The stuffer stands approx 17" tall with the screw all the way down. It weighs well over 30 lbs. I will package with great care. It will be double boxed and sent fully insured- a Signature will be required to receive. Single cylinder grinding models and dates back to the 1800's. It has four legs to mount to any surface, and a clasp to release the top from the bottom. Condition: In very good. Properly working vintage condition. The wooden part of handle has some wear and a crack and still functions well, but if needed could easily be replaced. Does have some light surface rusting but that is always remedied well with steel wool. The inside is free from rust, but does have some dirt and needs to be cleaned. Body measures 9 5/8" long from where handle attaches to end of"spout" Body is 3 3/4" wide and total width is 5 1/4" leg to leg. Height 4" Handle arm 8 1/2" This would make a ... morenice.
