This is an antique dress form or mannequin made of wire on a turned wood base. The shoulders are wood with a wood dowel down the middle that fits into the base. There are wire loops in the top of the turned part and also on the base for strings to hold the wire form in place. At one time it was covered in burlap. It is 58" tall. The base is about 21" tall and 16" wide. The wire form is 16" by 14" across the bottom, 13" by 10" at the waist, and 14" by 11" at the bust. It is 15" wide at the shoulders.

Vintage Acme Adjustable. Collapsible, Dress Form Size A for Collectors or Sewers. Fantastic, mint condition! This is a 20th century Acme dress form size A on a Victorian cast iron base with an extended frame form and wooden caster wheels. In it's smallest(closed) size, it measures 15 inches across the shoulders, 30 1/2 inches at the waist, 37 inches at the bust and 38 inches at the hips, and is expandable at all measurements. In it's shortest position, it measures 51 inches tall, and can be extended up to 67 inches tall. From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Serious inquiries and local pickup only. Up for auction is a VINTAGE AJUSTRITE cardboard DRESS FORM. MODEL M No. 100, U.S. Patent No. 2014299. It was manufactured by Gerstein Bros. Manufacturing Corporation. 1261 Broadway, New York USA. It was found at auction in Meigs County. Ohio. And said at auction that it was originally used at the Middleport Department Store. I don't know its specific age. It has a cord for slipping on a hanger with a"garmet/clothing article" and you tie the garment to the cardboard giving it a nice shape for display. The piece says" Eye Appeal means Buy Appeal. Use an AJUSTRITE Dress Form In Every Dress" I would describe it as being in ok to good USED vintage condition for an old cardboard piece. There is a crease/bend in the center near"waist line" and it has. I'm assuming the multiple"straight pin" marks-puncture ... moreholes, also near the waist line area most likely from use"back-in-the-day" There is several handwritten pencil numbers on the back. see photos) The cord is broken right where it fastens on the little round piece but I believe that would be easy to re-tie it.
