This dress forms height is also adjustable and the bust spreads apart. Adjusts from 32 to a 39 inches at the bust and 34 to 41 inches at the hips. Stand goes from 34" to 57" tall. Form weighs over 14 lbs. Overall great condition. A little rust on the cast iron base. And the fabric is a little dirty from storage. There is one small hole(1/8" diameter) under the left breast. Early on the mannequin was referred to as a. Dummy” By about the 1920's mannequins started to be made with a more durable composite made with plaster and department stores changed the term“dummy”into mannequin and that use has stuck ever since. This is an old mannequin that is estimated to be circa 1920's- 1930's based upon the mannequin material that is a hard composite type material with a layer of plaster over it. This dress form was obtained from a company that was founded in the early 1920's that the metal stand and base were attached to the dress form therefore I can only assume that they were originally designed to be used together. Height of torso only- 25” Bust– 35 1/2” Waist– 27 1/2” Hips– 32 1/2” Weight- 15 lbs. This dress form was made by Rite and has 16 adjustable sections. It is a size 1. Its adjustment ranges per the label are: Bust-32 to 42 inches. Waist-22 ½ to 32 inches. Hips-33 to 43 inches. It has a cast iron base with an adjustable height from 62 ½ inches high when adjusted all the way up and down to 35 inches high when lowered all the way down. The height measurements are to the knob on top. The knob on top is for the upper sections and the wing nuts on the inside are for the lower sections. It is used and in good condition but has some stains and signs of use as pictured. This is perfect for your sewing projects or for modeling your dresses. And this has really brought the white in the wire form. This mannequin can be used for countless uses. Vintage Looking 16" Mannequin Dress Form Jewelry Holder
This is a Vintage looking Mannequin Dress Form Jewelry Holder. The height is 16" and the dress is very antiquated looking with bead embellishments throughout, the dress is a mix of blues and purple with blue lace trim at the waist, and the pedestal seems to be made of wood painted. It's absolutely stunning. I found this item in 1 of my travels and it's in great shape but no idea how old this is, and from what I can tell there are no musty odors or a smell of smoke but I have no idea what type of home environment this item resided in. The only defects I can see is on the bottom of the pedestal there's an area of about 1/2 that has some green on it, also the bottom of the pedestal is distressed looking and on the bottom of the pedestal there's some scratches. vintage VTG pink plastic dress form mannequin
This is a pretty pink 1950's or 1960's era plastic dress form. It is adjustable. So it can be made bigger to suit your needs. The smallest measurements of it are: 37" Bust, 27" Waist and 35" Hip. It come with a pin cup for storing sewing pins. There are some things to note: 1. It is missing one of it's rubber feet caps. 2. It's a bit dusty/dirty from being stored in a garage. 3. I believe the height*may be* adjustable. But I haven't figured out how to do it. 4. It's pretty lightweight. Not heavy and cumbersome. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have! Vintage 1944 Simplicity Mannequin Dress Form Fashion Doll Patterns Fashiondol
Welcome to my auction. This auction is for Vintage 1944 Simplicity Fashion doll Mannequin and dress form. Also included in the action is a wood block stand. Three patterns, tape measure and Simplicity Sewing Book. The Mannequin: She is 12 ½” tall. She is in what I would call really good condition for her age. She does have a few minor issues. She has a faint crack line that runs down both arms from the shoulders to the wrist. It is very faint and I could not get it to show in the pictures. She also has a faint crack around her left arm and some at the shoulder. Again it would not show in a picture. She has a small nick to her nose. She has a black line on her left thigh on the inside. I did not try to wipe it off. Also the backs of her calf’s and her elbows look a little dirty to me. Again. I did not try to clean them. She has holes ... morein the bottom of her feet. I don’t know if there should be something there or if she was made this way, please look at the pictures. Her arms are a little loose I think the string that holds them in place is wearing out. They are not falling off but will not hold a pose. Her legs do not move. She was made this way. I don’t mean to make her sound bad she is really nice with beautiful face and hair coloring. I am just trying to note any flaw no matter how small. She really displays nicely. The dress form: The form is 5” tall without the stick. The form and the stick is 9 ½” tall. The form has some light soiling and also has a crack at the back of the neck. Shown in the pictures. There is a pink spot on the right breast. It looks like a paint flaw or something, I’m really not sure. Some small cracks where the stick fits into the bottom. Miss Items and Patterns: There is an 18” tape measure a little wrinkled but good. VINTAGE "LANE BRYANT" FULL FIGURE DRESS FORM, MANNEQUIN
Up for your consideration is a vintage"Lane Bryant" full figure dress form/mannequin. It stands 61" tall. The top features a round cast iron ball finial. On the base of the neck is stapled a plastic piece with the forms measurements. Just below the waist are the words Palmenbury Cavanaugh and near the bottom are the words Lane Bryant#47. The form has some small wear spots in the covering and some of the stitching on the sides are loose but nothing serious. There is a wire basket skirt attached below the figure. The wire has some surface rust but is all intact. Nothing broken. The rolling base stand is heavy steel with a double set of metal rollers on the bottom of each of the 4 legs. There are raised letters on the metal that say Cavanaugh Model Form Co. New York. The rollers are working but would roll smoother after being ... moreoiled. This adjustable collapsible mannequin belonged to my great great grandmother and it was in her Beauty Salon in the 1920's-1970's. It may be older. As she was born in late 1890's. The base is on wheels and could be used for a magicians table base. Prop parts, magic or music stand or any number of theatrical theme ideas or settings. This is a vintage mannequin form display or for sewing purposes. We have seen Broadway plays and other theatrical uses of similar mannequins.
