Fairloom Sears Dressmaker's Mannequin. Sold by Sears Roebuck and Co only. Cast Iron Knob on top that turns to expand the form; adjustable for height; with cast-iron 4 footed base. My mother's much-used dressmaker's mannequin is fully functional with no missing parts. However, there are a few holes in the fabric. Those that are noticeable can be seen in the photos. There is a white spot on the bust and a small hole beneath it. There is also a hole on each shoulder and a couple of other holes that are too small to see in the photos. In addition the Sears label has been ripped and is partially missing. I've used a low starting price to reflect the less-than-perfect condition. The mannequin is boxed and ready to ship. Up for your consideration is a nice late 1800’s to early 1900’s Antique Vintage dress form or mannequin that is marked“ACME FORMS” on the base as well as a tag by the neck. This is an Antique or Vintage Dress form and I am not for sure of the year it was made but I have seen similar ones listed as 1900 to 1914. The base is of cast iron and ornate it reads“ACME FORMS” PATD APLD FOR” It has all original arm socket& neck plates as well as a neck finial made of wood. The body is made of OLD paper mache and covered with a very old knit type fabric. This form has the original fabric with a size 36 stamped on the back. THE ONLY THING I AM NOT SURE IS ORIGINAL IS THE PAPER NAME TAG ON THE FRONT. I LOOKS ORIGINAL BUT IT IS SUCH GOOD SHAPE! This is a 16" early painted plastic Terri Lee doll with the red mannequin wig. She is marked on the back Terri Lee Pat Pending. She is really a great doll. You can see in the close up of the face there is one very tiny rub to the cheek. Some of her bangs have been trimmed but she still looks great on your shelf. Antique Stockman French Paris Market Childs Dress Form Mannequin
For your consideration we are delighted to make available this truly wonderful Antique child's dress form. Small in size yet large in charm this all original item was created in Paris France in the mid to late 19th century. Its condition is good with the usual wear one might expect in a commercially used dress/clothing form from this period. The lower part of the form is signed( STOCKMAN-PARIS- BREVETE S.G.D.6" as too the hardware is also marked in a similar manner. The cloth that makes up the outer layer of the form itself does have some discoloration and staining about the upper left shoulder and also some pin holes and fabric snags along the breast. The base of the form is all wood and still retains most of its original black finish. DESCRIPTION: c. 1940s fully jointed mannequin hand. This may have been used as a glove form as well. The fingers are narrow and fine. Unlike the chunky reproduction hands currently on the market. This hand has a metal wrist plate which would have attached to the mannequin arm. This hand also stands up on a table as the base is flat. Hard to find the hands with all the fingers fully jointed. Condition is very good, all joints are working, no repairs. One very minor chip in wood at the index finger middle knuckle, you can see in the 3rd photo. This is a really nice vintage male dress form that I bought at a local high end men's suit store that closed a few years ago. It was open in the 30's or 40's so the dress form could havd been from that era and up. It is a very heavy duty dress form. Nice solid wood base with brass ring. The form itself is also very sturdy. I do not know what is underneath but it is covered with nice black jersey material. Neck and neck cap are solid wood as well. I would say it was used to display size large to xl clothing Measures about. 18" shoulder to shoulder 23" shoulder to bottom of torso and 40" in chest area. Lot of 3 vintage dress form table top jewelry display mannequins. The 2 with dress covers measure approx. 21" high and the other one is 20" high with a slighter body build. The slightly smaller one is from Canada and has a wooden base with wooden bottom body half. The upper portion of the body is a very hard. Durable cardboard like material. This mannequin has some pin holes from display in it's satiny body cover. The 2 larger ones have wooden bases and hard Styrofoam bodies. These two have some fading to the black body cover from window display and they come with the yellow& black"dress covers" which give them a fresh look. I do not know anything about this other than what I can see. It has a tag on the side that says 34 and is made of some type of black paper and other materials. The base is bood and the tacks.nails look very old. The top has a brass? metal cover. There is a whole in the neck that I think is where an emblem might have been. I will not ship this- i don't care what carrier i took it to- they all wanted 100's of dollars to do it- even though it only weighs 20 pounds. I checked for a lady in Fla. and i live in SC- it was almost 200.00 UPS-and they won't insure because i don't have the original receipt from 1977 when i bought it! SO DONT EVEN ASK! If you are still interested read on! AND don't be afraid to make offers on it- description below has all measurements-and terms. Photo 1- me in my shop in 1982 with it extended so i could show that fabulous silk beaded Victorian dress(mint) Photo 2 is at 6'5" note cage bottom Photo 3 is at 5'1" note cage bottom Photo 4-close up front- notice it is paper mache- that is NOT a defect or a cut- it is just bumpy-at one time this was covered with material but it had to be removed due to dry ... morerot. There was no choice- it had been used so much it finally wore out. Photo 5.6 and 7 are sides and back of paper mache body Photo 8 is the underneath of the body-it is of unknown wood- notice the original wing nut that loosens and tightens the body to whatever height you want. Note cage bottom-some parts are bent-but you can bend them back. Photo 9 is the claw feet- 14 inches from foot to foot a perfect square! Photo 10 shows wooden finial-it was always black and was lightly spray painted when the body was.also note that some of the paint has flaked off at neckline- this is the most handled part of the mannequin- it spins on the finial so you can show someone what the dress on it looks like from every direction.There are people that can cover this with cloth again. When i had it- sometimes i put hat pins.Brooches and necklaces on the cloth- Very cool displays.
