A great estate find. This a well used dress form mannequin. Grey cloth covered. Adjustable in height and in size however I have not messed around with the knobs to change the size so I don't know how well those work. I did check the height adjustments and it does stay up and go down. There are age stains on the mannequin and a bit of small rust stains on the cloth. This interesting mannequin is a vintage piece from the Hall-Borchert Dress Company. What I know about this mannequin is that she survived a fire at some point. And that is why the cloth covering is missing(you can see some of the cloth still attached on the label close-up) There is some dried water marking, and it appears that somebody wrote a few numbers in chalk on the body. The base is cast iron, and is very firmly attached to the mannequin. These vintage mannequins are in high-demand among collectors to be used as crafty decoration pieces. VINTAGE Old sewing dress form has spent many years wearing an old wedding dress. Was most recently used in a retail store setting. This will expand and contract but I do not know if it will do so to accommodate a specific size accurately. The wrought iron stand is sturdy and does not wave. Solid. With onky a bit of wear to the cover as shown at the shoulder. It is aged and uniform in color. I see no damage and it has no bad odor. The sections may or may not adjust ACCURATELY. But I covered this with vintage sewing patterns to give it a more aged look. The top has a cap with a wooden finish and the bottom has an opening for a stand. There are a few minor tears to the fabric, as I show with the two noticible ones on the same size. At the top is a nice wooden spindle or finial and the arm holes are wood also. The base is wood with three legs. It has the old stain or paint that is a little chippy. There are a few minor chips to the wood stand, as I show, but it is very solid. It is adjustable in height only a little, about 5" The body is removable from the stand. This has such a great look to it and would be perfect to display vintage rosaries, necklaces, crosses, crowns, hats and other jewelry. Sorry, my other dress forms in the background are not for sale.
