Vintage Adjust-O-Matic Cardboard Dress Form or Mannequin 4 Display/ Has Patent
This auction is for a vintage Perfect Fit Adjust-O-Matic Dress Form. The patent date says it was filed in 1957& issued in 1960. It is made of cardboard& is in very good condition. It stands 28 1/2" tall. The measurement around the bottom of the piece is 38 1/2" I am not sure how much you could move the measurements as I would assume the cardboard is most likely not as flexible as it was when new. I do think it would make a excellent display piece in a antique store or home for necklaces& hats. Just a fun decorator piece! Antique Paris French Vintage Mannequin Dress Form Industrial Store Display
Beautiful Tall Vintage French Mannequin Dress Form made our of plaster over fabric. Brass arm and neck plates. Brass tacks on cotton lining. Wood underpart of dress form where the cast iron attachment holds the wood base. Wood turned column with dark green paint on two circular rings. The only markings I see say"FF" on the underside of the cast iron attachment. Some of the plaster has small chips which have flaked off. This is a wonderful piece to add to any dress shop. Clothing store, home. Great to display necklaces, clothing, boa, anything you think would add a flair to this unique piece. Would look great in a room propped against a vintage full length mirror. It is kind of dusty and would need some detailing before using. It can be used as a floor mannequin or on a tabletop. The base and adjustable rod are cast iron. I am not sure how old this dress form is but I know that it is old as it was my grandmother's and if she were still alive she would be 118 years old! It measures about 32" tall x 13 1/2" wide at shoulders x 12 1/4" wide at bottom x 9" deep at the bottom. But please keep in mind that the measurement are at the narrowest adjustment. It appears to be mostly made with paper mache. The material on the Mannequin is stretchy and appears to have been repaired in some areas. The mannequin: Great Condition except for imperfections described below and seen in pictures. 33/34" tall 11.5" Shoulder Condition: The major flaw is the interior neck area. This piece can easily be restored since the piece of neck can be reattached and the neck fabric replaced. The height can adjust from 36 inches to 63 inches. That measurement is to the top of the adjuster knob. It has a nice heavy cast iron base. At the lowest height it would sit nicely on a table top. Here is a fantastic Antique vintage dress form. Complete with lower cage, finial, and cast iron base. The dress form is a JR Bauman collapse a form model 1963. Fabric covered with original JR Bauman logo and the original lower cage. The cast iron base has a foot pedal that locks the height of the form so it could be raised or lowered. A great look for any store prop or industrial loft decor. this dress form is in very good condition, a few small tears to the fabric see photos.
