Klein Quantum frame 59 cm Vintage aluminum masterpiece
Normal 0 For sale is a used Klein Quantum frame. Size 59 cm. I bought this a couple years back and have stored it in a cool dry place. Along with a bunch of other Quantums. I need to thin the herd down a bit. So this is up for consideration. It is from the years 1989-1991. But I can’t place the exact year, because I haven’t decoded the serialization yet, and I’m not sure which fork came off of it. I do have a chrome Spinner that fits this frame. So if you are interested in a Klein fork to go along with it, email me, and we’ll work out a price. A lot of people throw carbon forks on these aluminum frames to add comfort(without excessive weight) to long days on the road. Purists stick with the original steel. It’s up to you. The press-in bottom bracket is operating smoothly. So you wont have to worry about replacing these bearings for years. ... moreRear spacing is 126mm. Modern spacing is 130mm but I frequently run modern rear wheels on these old frames without issues. The major flaw is some chain-suck scarring on the chainstay. Admittedly. There are some gouges, but nothing structural, and well hidden with a crankset installed. Additionally. The areas around the cable guides on the top tube have been“Revloned” for lack of a better word. No cracks or dings. Some decal flaking. The pictures tell the whole story. I wont go into the artistry. Performance or heritage of this frame, because if you have read this far, you likely know about Kleins already. I’ll ship USPS Priority and it will be safely packed. Slanted outward to open up the room- the back wall is approx. 19" across to the front opening of 22" across. The Walls of the room are covered with a burgundy-wine color material with dots and have 24 original tiny pins to hold paintings. To add to the 18th century styling of the room. The bottom section of the wall is wainscot and rail- wood finish with a decorative panel detailing. The floor is finished wood with a beautiful tapestry design material runner/rug. So aside for looking gorgeous, the strength-to-weight ratio is unmatched by any other seatpost on the market. The clamp, head and upper tube are a singular unit, not pieces bonded or pressed in; this upper post can withstand 325 pounds of torque. The long seat rail adds to the upper strength, with 1.614 inches of grip length keeping firm hold on the saddle. The Masterpiece maintains such strength in concert with light weight: Masterpiece seat posts weigh 40 grams less than an Elite post of the same size. Sorry- this is a relist. First listing had a fundamental flaw- said Ultegra 6700 instead of 6600. And there was an error with shipping cost. Build yourself a bike relatively inexpensively! Everything works, in reasonable condition, but not new(other than where specified) Ultegra 6700 10 speed levers- work fine. Not unduly scratched. But not showroom new either. Easton EA70 aluminum bar 44cm width. Black tape, bar plugs. FSA 100mm stem. Ultegra 6700 compact crank- 34/50. New chainrings last fall. 172.5mm. Pedal threads fine. All the chainring bolts fine, no squeaks ever out of this thing. Non-drive side has the cap thing. Ultegra long reach caliper brakes. Kool stop mixed compound pads with life left. These brakes have really impressed me. Obviously frame dependent. But they can(barely) fit around 35mm Racing Ralphs WITH a fender. Not so much ... moreif it's muddy, but if you ride rain it's possible. But that's upper end. any normal sized road tires with a fender you're A-ok. Front and rear 10 speed Ultegra 6700 derailleurs. Front is clamp kind. Thomson Masterpiece 31.6mm x 350mm layback post and Specialized saddle. That's a bit of a gem thrown in. Chain in that white plastic bag. 10 speed SRAM quick link. Not new, not done. New threaded BB in baggie. I chucked old BB. Bonus new Adidas glasses in that box. I forgot to take a picture. But 12-28 10 speed Ultegra cassette, zip tied in order with spacers, and includes lock ring. Two Schwalbe CX Pro tires- light. I think they're 30mm. Some wear, but not worn out. Let's make this simple. I don't know exactly the weight. Or what size box I'll be able to fit this in to, and I'm business travelling over next week, so I'm not gonna be able to check zip code estimates for shipping. This set was appraised at US$27.000. A shame I have to let it go. This is from the Appraiser's report(which I can provide) An exquisite round table and four matching round-back corner chairs with exquisite mother-of-pearl inlay decoration. The round table is of waisted construction. The four cabriole legs terminate with claw feet. The table is finished with an antiqued opaque lacquer finish. White brass mounts with incised designs ornament the aprons and reinforce structural joints. The tabletop panel is recessed for a protective glass panel. The tabletop features modern artistry in the medium of traditional Korean mother-of-pearl inlay. A pattern of scrolling arabesques encircles the central panel. Which features writhing dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl over the Immortal Isle of Penghu. The table is of recent manufacture. And the ... moreunderside bears an inlaid signature reading'Minh 60/150' indicating a numbered work within a limited production. There is minor lifting of the mother-of-pearl around the tabletop frame that is likely related to the dry atmosphere. The round back'corner chairs' are finished with an identical antiqued opaque lacquer finish and are styled with refined motifs associated with Central Asia and the Middle-East: The arm- and backrests terminate with brass ram heads and inlaid winged sphinxes of Egyptian style. And the seat panel is inlaid with a tracery medallion of Persian style. The mother-of-pearl inlay work also reflects the artistry of modern Korean masters. The underside of the four chairs each bears a unique inlaid signature reading'Minh 250/2' Minh 250/67, Minh 250/68' and'Minh 250/126' suggesting numbered works within a limited production of 250 chairs. 2012 Rocky Mountain Element 70 RSL frame, Fox Fork, and Thomson Masterpiece post
I have a 2012 Rocky Mountain Element 70 RSL 16.5" frame fork and seatpost up for auction. The frame is full carbon fiber and is super light! The frame retailed for $2800. The frame is very stiff and efficient and has internal cable routing as well as Rocky Mountain's ABP pivot bushing system that is superlight and very stiff. The frame also has a tapered headtube. The fork is a Fox F100 terralogic fork with rebound and air adjustment. The terralogic makes this a very efficient fork. The shock is a Fox RP23 with 3 different levels of propedal as well as air and rebound adjustment. The seatpost is a superlight Thomson Masterpiece. This will make anyone an excellent mountain bike! The bike was ridden about once a week for a little less than a year. There are some signs of use but they are faint and the camera has a difficult time picking them up on the image. There are faint seat clamp marks that are about 1.75 and 2.0 inches above the MAX Height Line. The clamp marks don't even go all the way around. But the marks can be seen upon close visual inspection. I didn't notice the marks until after I cleaned the seat post to make it ready for auction. There are also several dark marks on the Thomson Lettering on one side that may come off, or may not, it would never concern me. There is a tiny shiny ... moredot about 1 inch above the MAX Height line too. The cloth bag has some grease marks on it. I would rather point out and over emphasis the marks that I can see, rather than under emphasis them and have you be disappointed thinking you were getting something fresh off the production line. The bottom line is this component was USED for 1 full season of riding, you can see some marks near the area it was clamped and to me, they are faint. A few scuffs or marks would never stop me from running such a lightweight seat post especially if I didn't have to pay the $149.95 MSRP retail price for this component. Please look at the pictures. If you want to buy a used mountain bike component and expect it to be absolutely perfect, then please do not bid on this seat post, there are plenty of these up for sale that are new. However. If you want a bargain 192g seat post for your mountain bike, knowing you'll put your own marks or scuffs on it anyway, then this auction is probably for you! Another fine example of Watson's famous floral series produced between 1900 and 1910. The highly competitive souvenir spoon market resulted in very high standards for artwork and production among the top silverware companies. Watson was clearly the leader in the sheer number of outstanding designs created. I made this ring from a like new spoon in perfect condition. I made it spiral style to show off as much as possible the fine artwork all along the handle. It is size 8 and I can adjust it from 7 to 10. One of several outstanding designs from my collection of rare and exotic antique silverware patterns. I have been handcrafting spoon rings since the'70s. Some of the ornate beautiful patterns that once were commonplace ... moreare now rapidly disappearing. All of my rings are fabricated from STERLING handles that were cast 50-100 years ago. A few are older. I seek out designs that reflect artistic and design excellence. A few are true gems in their class. I also look for handles with only slight or no apparent wear. I regard these old silverware pieces to be true works of art. A remnant of an era when artistic talent and production standards were valued in the silverware industry. In this day of bland and poorly cast stainless handles, and plasticware, these old spoon rings are a tribute to the past. I do not deal in reproductions. Recastings or originals altered in any way. I also do not make any rings from silverplate. My prices are determined by scarcity, aesthetic appeal, and my cost to buy materials.
