Wesso Industrial Laminating Machine
I got this at a warehouse estate sale and have to be honest. I don't know exactly what it is and what it does. I looked on google and it seems like it most closely resembles an industrial laminating machine. I couldn't find anything on the manufacturer Wesso. I don't know if it is actually a laminating machine. I just wanted to do my best to get it in the general category and in front of people that might know something about it and have a use for it. If you're familiar with this type of work you probably know a lot more than me about it by looking at the pics. I plugged it in and it didn't work. One of the cords is cut as you can see in the pics. It dirty and could use a good cleaning. I'm not planning on doing any more cleaning on it before you pick it up so you'll receive it as is. If you are in the sign business or do anything with wide-format printing you know the importance of lamination. You also know what a huge pain-in-the-neck laminating films can be. A lot of outdoor signs are being printed nowadays and although the ink is better than it used to be. It won't last as long as solid vinyl. To stay in the game you have to do some kind of lamination. As you know. There are two kinds of laminating machines: film and liquid. Liquid laminating machines have enormous advantages over film laminating machines, The liquid does a better job of bonding to the substrate. It lasts longer Liquid laminate costs less. Liquid Laminate costs 11 ¢ per square foot- even“economy” solid laminates cost around 50¢ per square foot. How much would you save? It is easier to apply. But one huge disadvantage of liquid laminating ... moremachines is the price. Most wide-format liquid lamination machines cost over ten thousand dollars and a“cheapie” will cost at least $6000.00. In addition to the motorized rollers found on a film laminating machine there is a pump and heaters that drive up the cost.
